A unique underground mine tunnel scope, a tight schedule and demanding conformance specifications made the Havieron copper-gold exploration decline project in Western Australia as complex as it is necessary, according to Trimble distributor HL Geospatial.

To build the 2.5 km box cut decline tunnel, surveyors and operators were challenged to establish a technology-enabled workflow that would keep this project on track and within specification, the company said.

The Havieron copper-gold deposit is in the Paterson region of Western Australia. Through a joint venture, Greatland Gold and Newcrest Mining are looking to develop the deposit. The regulatory approvals for Havieron’s construction were provided at the end of 2020. Soon after, the joint venture was ready to begin construction. The large cylindrical deposit sits under about 450 m of sedimentary cover and the mineralisation extends over deep intervals to at least 600 m below the base of sedimentary cover, according to the jv.....

Either you believe in the company, and the company officers, or you don't, but, on recent form, I can certainly accept some of the negativity. It's understandable!

However, medium/long term, I still believe, as I always have, that this is probably one of the best investments around!

Yes, time will ultimately be the decider, but, I still maintain, with GGP, if you snooze, you'll lose!

Increadingly, IMHO, we're now due a considerable move northwards in the sp. Yes, please do hold me to that, and i have no issue with that! Let's see what heppens over the next 2-3 months!

I have no problem, whatsoever, with your views Idealised. As you say, I'm entitled to my view, but, hey, let's not go down the road of "biased" and "ill informed", as if you know everything! I've probably, on age terms, been around a lot longer than you.

IMHO, it's pretty much just the same!

The new bosses of Sam Bankman-Fried's failed crypto empire FTX have submitted their first report on the state of play at the group - and it doesn't make for pretty reading.

In terms of ASX, look there's a number of different ways to do it but again if it's compliance listing we wouldn't raise any equity, we'll assess that there's you know more than one way to skin a cat if I'm able to say that but we can…

I don't love that we've got 4 billion plus shares on issue - I'd probably love to do a consolidation at some point but I'd probably rather consolidate into strength, so yes we'd look at that it's something I think about but it's not a burning platform for us, again it's something that look we can look at and at the right time it's probably good to to reassess so we'll continue to monitor that - but I think if you I think about shares in a percentage way at Greatland because the numbers are big and I think you know sometimes people see a number of shares being issued and probably think it's a large number but most companies you probably see have 400 million shares on issue not 4 billion so when you divide when you take a zero off when you divide it by 10 it puts the numbers in a little bit more context - so yeah a share consolidation is probably a good idea but I think we get, we have the strategic initiative as to when we think about implementing something like that.

Gold v crypto. The end game

There was a time, not that long ago, when gold was said to be facing a challenge as a reserve currency from Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Not today.

Last week's crypto collapse, which is starting to develop unpleasant legal and financial features (think a visit from the tax man) could be the beginning of the end for an asset class which has more in common with casino chips than any genuine investment.

Why crypto suddenly crumbled has not been fully explained, and might never be understood, but that's in keeping with a creation which came from nowhere and will leave nothing when it goes. Dust to dust and ashes to ashes.

True believers in the concept of a universal currency not controlled by a government will be devastated by what's happening in their crypto world which absorbed billions of dollars, made a few people rich, and a lot poorer.

What the unfortunates stuck in crypto are now discovering is that everything about it is false, starting with the nonsense surrounding its invention by an unnamed computer programmer and the description of the product as coins, which they're not...

It's just another commentary, which investors can take, or leave, as they like! As always, and I've been around a long time, you pays your money and you take your choice!

Where are we?

Well, IMHO, I think that our MD has now positioned us, exactly where we need to be under the current climate! If it hadn't been for his foresight, I believe that we'd have seen a very 'cheap' offer already!

Personally, I can't think of any other MD we'd want, right now, and probably going forward for some time, than what we have now.
