Sorry, what? The SP is not a valuation? I think you have also lost touch with reality too with that comment. I also would not worry about my reason for investing, I have not lost sight of what I am doing thankfully.
Advocating a breakup in the near term at a significant premium is called realising value and I see plenty here to be realised with a change of approach, granted if you invested before it got this slow the agenda may be different. At 80 years old Sir Martin is no spring chicken, and there are also 92% of other shareholders interests to think about.
I feel the fact that the merger talks were not rebuffed shows that S4 is in play now, as previous proposed transactions were dismissed completely, the valuation as I see it is now too low to prevent a breakup, sale or combination.
Happy to disagree on this, I do see something on the horizon other than S4 trading it's way out or going bust.
