Taking a stab at the potential revenue, there are 47 separate police forces in the UK with a combined £19.6 billion/annum budget . Whilst there is no official central database of the number of arrests and subsequent interviews in the UK, it is thought that the number is in the order of 1 million/per annum. ALRT could use a number of pricing models e.g. per interview, per hours of interview or annual subscription.

For the sake of argument, and this will certainly generate one, lets say the platform is charged @ £250/interview and ALRT signs up 50% of forces. That would equate to £125 million/annum revenue, split say 50/50 with Whitespace.

Well worth investing in trialling the platform IMHO.

IMHO you hit the nail on the head about these feel good announcements. In the eyes of many short-term PIs, that is all that they are, there is no mention or even indication of any additional revenue & profit, in fact no mention of revenue full stop, and so they sell up (encouraged by the MMs) to put their wonga somewhere else, where they think that it will work harder for them. Fair enough, each to their own.

What these PIs do not do is analyse the RNSs and use them to build a picture of the business that the BOD is building and the progress that is being made in the execution of the growth strategy. Read in that light the recent RNSs are, IMHO, very positive especially the one about the appointment of a CEO.

Will I add some more on the dips? No, I shall wait for now. When the SP does start to motor north and my investment rationale has been affirmed I will buy more. As WB said, it is better to be late to a good party than to be early to a bad one.

Well, the folks on the ADVFN chat say that, despite this RNS, the fundamentals of ALRT have not changed e.g. its market cap is far too high for a pre-revenue business in a highly competitive sector, it does not have a contract(s) in its back pocket, the value and profitability of the contract that may be coming is unknown and will need to raise more cash from shareholders.

What really interested me in the RNS was the announcement that ALRT is soon to appoint a CEO. This, IMHO, could be a significant catalyst for a surge in the SP. Why? Well, if the appointee has a proven track record and is highly regarded in this sector, then one would imagine that he/she will have done their due diligence and believe in the future of ALRT. The flip side of this announcement is, why was a CEO not appointed before now? ALRT has been like a ship heading out to sea without a captain at the helm.

All IMHO, DYOR and ask Tess or Claudia now that they have left Strictly.

Some folk are taking this uptick as an opportunity to exit at a reduced loss.
