yes, but even if that is granted, the Spanish Govt propose to ban uranium mining hence even if this permit is granted, it could very well be overuled by the government should that proposal go to vote and pass.
Yes final sign off NSC II required AND confirmation the Spanish Govt has dropped their proposal to entrench in law the banning of all uranium mining in their country (which will outlaw Berkeley's Uranium Mining plans). So two MAJOR sign offs still required before we can all relax.
That would only serve to undermine the Spanish business environment. A clear message that Spanish governance mechanisms are not reliable enough to do business with irrespective of prior agreements.
Why does the Spanish Govt not respect and value its own regulatory framework of governance and guidance in this area? As I understand this mine process is required to take place and be permitted under a regulatory framework which is designed to ensure such business/mining activities are conducted to the standards and guidance as set out by the Spanish Govt.. it is this contradiction within itself that gives me the expectation that this mine will go ahead as expected.
So what now? I would assume with government plans to ban uranium mining in Spain that the nuclear regulatory authority won't bother with further work re the final permit until the government members decide whether to include the ban in the legislation vote or not? if this is the case we are all waiting for a yes or no vote in Spain sometime 2021? and if this is so then this is now a total gamble based on government vote rather than an investment in the mine and management team ability to mine this mineral safely within a credible regulatory framework. Another Q - what happens if a No vote I would assume the Omani investment (all the cash in bank) would be returned to sender and the stock would simply be delisted and be over?
I have been riding the BERK wave for years and I can honestly say this is not for the faint hearted. I'm very fond of my BERKS however I must add this is extremely hard work...
