Thats right I feel this Berk issue is way too big to not be discussed by this particular group. I hope that wise heads put together a note of support for the Berks and the final permit can be granted.

I hope that Pensana raises the funding via Bonds rather than Equity. Funding is really cheap these days so I would expect Pensana to be in a great position to take advantage of this.

They *could* be discussing it 430pm CET Thursday: "Presentation of the Climate Change and Energy Transition Bill." in the José Pedro Pérez-Llorca Rodrigo Room. What are your thoughts?

I would be surprised if a meeting like this would specify they would be discussing the Berks. That would be material information that could be used to trade before a public announcement is made. I wonder how they are managing this information? People in government, the committee itself could make millions from this if they trade knowing what the decision is going to be (either way). This would be illegal - so there must be a framework in place to deal specifically with any information regarding the Berks.

I reckon Pensana PLC would be better off calling themselves PENSANA ENERGY - get that brand enhanced too.
This would position the organisation right at the core of what it does and will do -- it opens up other possibilities to drive further spread vertically and horizontally as a fully fledge energy business from mine to possibly provider (think acquisitions, mergers and joint ventures). The potential for this organisation over the years ahead is huge. When you start talking strategic acquisitions and strategic partnerships, the future is looking very good for this business. These are very very early days for what is likely to become BIG.

Is there any clear explanation for those tiny 1 - 10 share trades? Why would anyone be buying or selling 3 shares for example? The admin cost to do that is greater than the value of the buy / sell.

Hi Joe, yes it will be interesting to see if it does come out over the next day or so. I recall that Paul mentioned that funding would be established as well so that the news of funding and the BFS could be disclosed to the market at the same time. The recent de listing news on the ASX certainly gave weight to the price and depressed it somewhat and I wonder if that was done with the view to give the funding parties a lower average share price rather than a constant 120p price to fund at - typically a funding could come in the form of an equity raise at a price around the average stock price for the last 7 days sort of thing - I may be very wrong but I was thinking this as a possibility as to be more attractive to a funding party. We are talking about a possible 20% difference here which will be incredibly material to a funding party. This could be completely wrong and funding could be sourced utilising other forms of financial support. I am really excited about this business and what it is looking to achieve and really glad to have the opportunity to invest here.

Thanks for this link. Yes, this is definitely a binary risk and I have been surprised to see such large bets being made recently given this type of clear risk.

Dear China, I was simply quoting from the FT article as a matter of interest for consideration. Certainly I am not one to sow doubt - I personally believe this will get the full go ahead and full steam ahead. Consider and think before you jump in with personal attacks. As for the Berks - I want them to get going with the mine as a key supplier of uranium for clean Nuclear Energy. The world needs it.

I am wondering when the decision will be made either way on all this? Does anyone have any idea when this decision could be made? Also, will the Berks have any recourse on all this given the delays are so expensive and largely due to people dragging their heals rather than operating clean within the regulatory framework (that surely wasn't set up to facilitate unnecessary delays?) ...

Approval for the processing plant doesn't appear to be a sure bet -

Large utility-scale solar panels take up a lot of space, which can result in environmental degradation and habitat loss. Solar farms that cover a large amount of land are likely to have an impact on the local fauna and flora, particularly on birds. I saw pictures of huge areas of what was natural beauty before just covered in solar panels and all dead underneath - the destruction on nature is terrible and what about Wind farms? The available evidence suggests wind farms can harm birds in three possible ways – disturbance, habitat loss and collision. Some poorly sited wind farms have caused major bird casualties, particularly at Tarifa and Navarra in Spain and the Altamont Pass in California. There are massive issues in all sources of energy, but for me, clean powerful and reliable Nuclear Power is the solution to the worlds future energy needs if it wants to exist with plenty of nature. Technology and Humans can deal with Nuclear issues with respects to sourcing energy from it and dealing with its waste, however, nothing can protect nature from being smothered in solar panels and dying and nothing can give back what the birds and other wonders in nature have and will lose to Wind Farms. This has to be balanced out. There is a limit to everything.

What impact on EU Energy Policy will he have? Are there any voices in Germany that favour Nuclear Energy? Maybe they feel Russian supplied gas is reliable forever and that if needed can import from French Nuclear Energy - and for the rest a major expansion in Wind and Solar options but is that the best way to manage the energy needs of Germany moving forward as they take on ever more weight in energy consumption needs? Base Load Energy capabilities should at least be self sufficient to provide some level of protection for a country. I feel that the EU is missing a great opportunity to fuel the energy mix, the Nuclear component, from its very own Salamanca Uranium Mine constructed and operated using the best minds in the business. Why rely on anywhere else? Interested to read any comments on this.
