Berkeley Minera España, a subsidiary of the Australian Berkeley Energía, has so far received more than 25,000 job applications for its mining project in Retortillo (Salamanca), where it had invested until January more than 94 million euros of the total of 400 million euros planned. The company, which to date has created 60 jobs associated with this mine, plans to create more than a thousand jobs with this project between direct and indirect jobs."The Retortillo mine will be a fundamental engine for the economic recovery of the region and that is why our objective has been from the beginning to generate quality employment, in a sustainable way, and prioritizing the people who live in the environment of Retortillo and in the province of Salamanca," said the president of Berkeley Minera España, Francisco Bellón.
