pretty much the same as previous updates but obviously burning through cash and will need addition funding because of the CSN ongoing delays. its such a long dragged out situation - I would never invest in Spain again after this but I will hold my Berks. Does anyone have any idea when the votes will be taken? I dont see CSN granting the final permit until the govt itself has given the go-ahead...

Do you think that should the project be declined the locals would be able to claim the lost Euro 400m opportunities from the government? If I lived in the local area and would have got a job at the mine, would have been able to play in football team sponsored by the Berks and got free WI FI, better shops and other infrastructural benefits as a result of the Berks, I would be extremely upset with my govt for declining the project. 25000 people applying for work at the mine just shows you the extent of the problem in the area from an economic perspective.

It doesnt appear to be a Q&A session with the view to approve the final permit does it. Seems to be that the govt want to ask the CSN questions about Berkeley's recent approaches to them requesting them to do their job and move the process along. The article seems to suggest very much that its not looking good for Berkeley. It would be good to have more clarity on what the reality really is.

Large sell off in Spain the last two days - quite a wild ride with the Berks, like a rollercoaster - lets hope for favourable decision on final permit forthcoming!

Berkeley Minera España, a subsidiary of the Australian Berkeley Energía, has so far received more than 25,000 job applications for its mining project in Retortillo (Salamanca), where it had invested until January more than 94 million euros of the total of 400 million euros planned. Is this actually happening today? Do you have visibility on progress in the meeting or even if this will continue in to next week?

The ones that are very narrow minded and those that are uneducated in the reality and science of nuclear energy and the mining of the raw material. In addition to this it will be a clear attack on their OWN regulatory system that is set up to promote and deal with business developments in mining correctly.

Yes indeed - I would call it a worrying time right now for the Berks. Now we need to wait till 25 February for the CSN President to brief Congress on all this.

Healthy volumes trading in Spain today - perhaps some positive news to come soon?
