I think it's just fair to expect that SOLG want to finalize a deal as well, and move on to the other tenements. There must be some expectation and anxiety now that the PEA is imminent.

At this stage I feel like I felt when my wife was 38 weeks pregnant, only 2 weeks to go, so excited about the outcome, worried that something might go wrong, and fundamentally exhausted for the past 38 weeks . Come on SOLG, let's deliver a beautiful "Cascabella" baby and be done!

I suppose we are witnessing the two main parties (Newcrest and BHP) building their holding while the price is kept low, and I don't even want to start speculating how the price is kept low, so that if and when THE offer is presented to SOLG for the majority stake, it's only needed for a smaller additional holding, which will keep the overall average price paid much lower than the headline numbers we like to fantasize about.

Not sure SOLG needs to RNS on this event. Newcrest bought from someone else, Blackrock perhaps but who knows, and there is no issuance involved. It would be nice to see the current share price reflecting this transaction instead of moving lower!
Rather, if Newcrest buys more, I wander whether BHP has a right to buy more themselves. These dynamics might accelerate the race to buy SOLG with a proper offer, given how few shares are left in the market.
