I very much hope we have positive news. Seeing an unjustified rise like today, a ton of BB messages and still no idea about what is going on does not instil great confidence.

I think this is a classic 2nd step leading to a hostile takeover. The first step is management to management, and as we have learned it didn't bear fruits. Then comes the appeal and solicitation to shareholders as a whole. Assuming that this also does not bear fruits because enough CGP ownership is not playing ball, hostility kicks in, with the open question about whether any third parties get in the mix. Methink, from direct experience. Interesting times these are.

Between now and April, expect a spike possibly reaching 58-59p before a retrace, and then hold your breath until 97-98p in Q2-2020.

Thank you Mog, very useful. I like the assumptions of 75pct debt and the 70p price level for the residual 25pct. I also like that the estimates are based on the high grade alone, leaving a still unknown upside from that level.

But looking at the price action, 2.55 is about a significant Fib level and I would expect a retracement to 2.20 or even 1.95, before attempting a new move upwards. Obviously, on a fundamental level we have all the good prospects we profusely talj about here, but I don't think we will continue the straight line growth from here.

The large crowd looking for a quicker return is holding its fire. Just a consequence of NM's insistence on an enormous offer or nothing, which so far has amounted to nothing.

IMHO, the current downtrend is not surprising. The price is not moving upwards because a core of original investors plus Newcrest and BHP plus sone of us LTHs has already bought and got us where we are, while the next big money is still faced with the uncertainty about the exact investment case. There is no doubt the resource is there, but if you are a fund looking to invest you still don't know if the payday comes next month because of a takeover or in 5 years time because NM insists on going to production himself. To be included in the index, companies have to be premium listed, achieve both a certain markcap and a level of liquidity. Perhaps we have the markcap now but over the last 12 months we haven't achieve the liquidity levels that are required, and we certainly have no premium listing.
