I have voted for the HL shares, very easy process. HSBC InvestDirect as usual is still in the middle ages.

I have some of the SOLG shares in HL accounts but I have not seen any voting mention or request. Has any of you who may hold SOLG share in HL seen something more useful?

Adieu, good post on LinkedIn. In fact I would invite all investors to make their voice heard in the big social media, rather than just regurgitating the same stuff here among us. I am planning to comment on each Solgold related post and comment, as soon as as Dan V starts typing.

I am just reporting the feedback I received from an insider. 28p is obviously an insulting bid for us, if we get a fresh bid at a higher price happy days, but if we don't at least we can rationalize based on a motivated response from a direct actor.

I have exchanged emails with Bob, who was graceful enough to respond.

But his response to me was different, along the lines of 28p not being a bad price all things considered, where the things considered were the royalty and streaming deals plus the alternative of going solo with significant equity dilution. He seemed to indicate that the time between 2017 and now has been a waste of time for investors in SOLG, himself included, which points to any higher valuations (like the ones often floated here) being delusional. He didn't seem to think there were alternative paths being worked on at this stage, but of course if that was not the case he might have not been in the position to disclose it.

I doubt very much we are going to see a fresh bid at a higher price. Both management and the other big holders would all look like absolute morons for recommending a 28p sale rather than rejecting it to stimulate higher bids elsewhere. Of course I would love to to be wrong, but rationally this looks like a done deal.

I would not waste my time with the FCA. I just had to deal with a big mishap from their side, and they have used all their powers to cover up their tracks and blatant incompetence, no useful outcome for anyone other than the FCA itself.

Yes PS, that's what I hinted at. But with BHP and Newmont saying they are happy to sell at 28p, there is no buyer left. I don't believe for a moment that a third party who never appeared in the OSLG narrative shows up at the last minute to bid for us.

Why are BHP, Newcrest, NM, the board in support of a 28p bid, after rejecting 26p?

The only game I can play in my head is that firming up a realistic sale, even at that ridiculous price, it's the last chance to get someone else to make a move. But to be honest it would scream of desperation, if that's where we are after all the proclamations about being undervalued...

@Monte, mostly I have been busy with work and dealing with health issues. But I am always in the background, just don't fancy getting involved in most of the conversations here, always the same patterns and little value added. Are you ok?

@NMM, there is not much to contribute at the moment, it's a waiting game, we have been positioned for a proper rerate for years and the daily bickering does nothing to help. Unfortunately the board is spammed by the usual few who post their fantasies and creative interpretations but in actual fact offer no usable input. My opinion anyway. GLA!

Super pleased to see Orosur now with the enlarged balance sheet to accelerate Anza.

They are delivering some of the best gold intersections globally at surface with major upside from their four exploration assets but notably the very light capex requirements at Pepas vs major FCF estimates (constituting much of the market cap). Modelling so far doesn't include any additional Pepas finds or Pepas North.

Greenwood Capital Partners:

"Simple and low capex. As outlined, we envisage a simple open pit mining and crushing operation, with transport of ore to a 3rd party for processing. The location in an established gold mining district presents this as a valid opportunity and there are several mills in the area that would benefit from additional high-grade ore feed. This means that capex would be required only for some initial site works including the road upgrade, and installation of some kind of crushing equipment which could even be of the mobile type. This will also negate risk associated with commissioning and ramp-up of a processing plant. The benefit of high-grade is that you don’t need high throughput to capture of the ounces. We estimate an all in capex of a mere US$15m (inc US$1m for royalty buy-back) which is likely an overestimate"

The gap filling was expected, I assume there is some profit taking given how the price moved in the last few days. Given the general positive vibe around OMI after years of dread, I see it as just a question of how much it wants to retrace, between 18 and 21 IMHO, before resuming upwards.

I also plot the 999MA on IG, as the longest possible MA, and interestingly on Friday the price touched the MA just about, before retracing. I imagine its fair to expect that there are all sorts of resistance forces at play.
