cmww2014. The "rumours" that I came across on Friday were both low-level, and probably escaped investors' notice? In that case what you say is probably true? The "rumours" didn't affect the share price rise?
As I recall the first was from "nobbygnome" on the advfn board about a buyer aggregating their shareholding with that of TFG - presumably to put in an offer for the company? I sent a private message to the aforementioned contributor requesting the rumour's source. I did not receive a reply. The second one was from a twitter source, who goes by the moniker of AIM Investor, and follows Synairgen with comments from time to time.

As a LTI, I do not trade, nor do I act on rumours. I remain severely depleted in my Synairgen holding, in part from following the hype on investment forums, and monitoring major investors' actions prior to the Sprinter outcome. I remain optimistic about this company's future, although I would be reassured if some white smoke finally emerged from the vague "strategy" that has been reiterated for nearly a year.

Unfortunately, we are likely to see an abrupt reversal in the share price in the absence of a significant update from Synairgen. Short term speculators bought on the “rumour” of an upcoming announcement. They will take small profits, and look for other opportunities as nothing has yet materialised?

I remain patient as to the company’s future potential. However, if nothing materialises by the AGM, serious questions will need to be asked. My question would be what the high level executives that were recruited in anticipation of P3 success are actually doing? It isn’t enough for the CEO to dismiss this important question with vague rationalisation as before.

Spaceman’s contribution re TFG’s significant shareholding was interesting. It confirms that their projections were similar to most LTIs, and they would have been as stunned by the trial outcome as we were.

From the conference calendar, it seems that Dr. Monk is doing all the heavy lifting as was the case last year, which takes me back to my AGM question. There is no definitive list of company personnel, and their roles and responsibilities. It is possible to deduce from the Synairgen personnel on LinkedIn that the company’s wages bill weighs heavily on its cash burn at present. Positive incoming news is now needed. The vague statement from the CEO at the turn of the year, which is regularly reiterated by our Director of Communications is nowhere near enough to satisfy investors.

I remain optimistic that patience will eventually win through. The necessary time frame to achieve progression away from our current position is however weighing heavily on my patience at the present time.

Agreed with Axe-Capital concerning the present state of the company. However, as we have seen in the past, a single RNS could change that perception?

It would be useful to know the origin of the rumour?

Hypothetically, what would be deemed as an appropriate offer for the company at present. I do not see investors, who bought in @ GBX175 under the last cash raise being prepared to accept a low price, especially as some of us are anticipating positive news from Strive in a few months?

It is mildly pleasing to see an upward shift in the share price. Particularly so for recent investors, who bought in at a share price < GBX10. However, it is of little consequence for majorly underwater LTIs.

I remain optimistic that favourable news is on the horizon, and look forward to the next RNS whenever that emerges?

There has been similar short - term share price action with other diminished AIM companies recently. It may well turn out to be the case here? We will find out soon enough!

The webinar given by Dr. Iv and the IB team on the Clinical Advances of perfusion MRI in Neuro-oncology has gone ahead. It was informative, and showed the potential of IB’s technologies. There has been little reaction on social media, and no market reaction thus far?

Also, considering recent trades, the company is apparently flying well under the market’s radar?

The potential for this company’s success is considerable. It is surprising that IQ-AI isn’t doing more to attract investors’ attention? Surely positive news on all fronts must be imminent?

However, the carousel of LinkedIn/twitter messages has been relentless over the last six months or so. High quality branded messages, which have been professionally produced IMHO. The hallmark of a large successful company; certainly not a tiny bio pharmaceutical company that is apparently struggling to achieve a trial?

This week Professor Donna Davies has been brought to the fore for the third time, previously as a founder, and part of the Synairgen women into science posts, and now as a leading scientist in her own right.

I have several hypotheses about this initiative.
1. That it was planned in anticipation of Sprinter success, and as it was already conceived, they went ahead with it to help maintain their profile?
2. It has been rolled out in anticipation of a forthcoming trial placement? I agree with some contributors that a Strive invitation remains on the table?
3. A legacy statement in anticipation of a JV of some description and subsequent lowball buyout (GBX100 or thereabouts)?

Like most contributors to this forum, I am speculating and haven’t any idea of what lies ahead? However, I refuse to accept the negative speculation about the company in the absence of an update. I do not mean MrCosts’ comments, which are representative of the frustration that many investors are feeling in the absence of news? The non investors, who choose to convey negativity about the company and its personnel without any rationale should be ignored IMHO. Until we have news, we are all clueless as to what lies ahead?

Could this be a predictive Freudian slip as far as Synairgen’s future is concerned? We can but wish that it turns out to be the case.

I totally agree, but the share price continues to decline to year-low levels with each passing day.

Nothing that the company has added since Feb 2022 has reversed that continuous degradation. There has been some spiking, but the overall pattern is one of decline (in the absence of a substantial update - as interpreted by the market).

The positive points that you have reiterated on several occasions are noted and accepted. They contribute to a balanced picture of where we are for the time being. Ghia’s earlier “bang or bust” in the longer term, comment brought home the realistic situation that investors must now confront.

Now that I have expressed my personal view to the company’s Director of Communications, I shall add no further comment, either here, or elsewhere, until the company has something of value to add.

I sent a copy of my previous LSE message to Mrs. Clarke earlier today, and stress that it is my opinion only, and probably does not reflect the view of others? Unfortunately, Mr. Marsden will most probably not be shown my message, although he surely must be aware of how badly the company has performed (in terms of the share price, which is our only current evaluative indicator), since February 2022?

I contributed the following to the LSE Synairgen bulletin board earlier today. I believe that it is a fair reflection as to how a number of long term investors view the company’s current situation.

Mr. Marsden’s statement on LinkedIn at the start of the year said nothing new, and there have been no developments since then.

Surely Mr. Marsden must be aware of the continuous year lows that the share price is reaching each successive day with no response from the company?

I apologise for forwarding such a grim message. However, it does reflect the mood of investors in the absence of any developments from the company.

The last RNS with company information was on Dec 23, 2022. This was the publication of the Sprinter trial results. This drew a line under that initiative, although its outcome will inform the company when designing a future trial. Presumably, this will be connected with the development of a broad spectrum antiviral product? That is our latest information, and this has continued to be the case since the first half of 2022.

Meanwhile, the share price is reaching new year lows every day. The next RNS statement will be welcomed by investors, especially as the share price erosion will continue without any positive news to halt and reverse the decline.

The attendance at further conferences in 2023 is unhelpful without any new initiative to justify that attendance? All the conference attendance last year has not contributed towards improving the company’s situation. Further reiteration of Sprinter results is no longer sufficient. Surely, the company must now have something new to add?

Nearly 1.2m shares sold in 4 tranches in 20 minutes today. I fail to understand what is going on? There has been no unfavourable news to underpin the appreciable decline since the Orphan Drug status announcement?

Scinv_temp. You repeatedly inform this forum that you have managed a successful exit from your Synairgen investment at 200p+. Congratulations on your success. I wish that I had done the same, when the opportunities was there.

Your presence on this forum at the present time is questionable? As a former successful Synairgen, why are you even interested now that the share price has fallen so much? Additionally, why are you so embittered against this company? You have judged the situation well. It has served your purpose. Where’s your problem?

Although it is your right to continue to comment, I am certain that I speak for many contributors when I say that your negativity on this forum is surplus to requirement, and not in the least appreciated.

I totally agree. The complexity of the trial which aimed at achieving a comprehensive and balanced data set might well have been responsible for it narrowly failing to meet its endpoints?

Additionally, IMHO you are correct in maintaining that long term investors, who remain on board will need to be patient for a far longer time frame than they had originally anticipated? I recently extended my expectations based on my research.

My cash burn, and remaining capital, estimates suggest that our cash runway will extend far further than some contributors are fearing?

As stated previously, I intend to sit tight on my investment, and ignore the background noise from “non-believers”. I respect their opinions, but choose to disagree based on my own reasoning.

I look forward to receiving further clarification on these matters at the next AGM.

In late 2021, my perception of the integrity of the company’s executives, based on a comprehensive immersion into interviews and documentation was a major reason to remain invested. Nothing has happened since then to change that view. If anything, it has been strengthened in light of more recent information.

Based on continued research, and my interpretation of the facts, I remain optimistic about the future progress of my investment. None of us knows what may or may not happen?

For uninvested individuals to repeatedly state their negative opinions here is a waste of their time and energy. Most investors, with their belief in SNG001 intact, will hold, at least until a significant development, positive or negative emerges.

Realistically, I believe that we may have longer to wait. I look forward to the AGM, when the company may have flesh to add to the bare bones of it’s broad spectrum antiviral strategy upon which its hopes are currently pinned?

Negative thoughts are pervading this forum. Sadly, for all of us, the time for those kind of thoughts was January 2022, when it was possible to get out, with some profit in most cases.

As things stand, we can but hope that we are invested in a business in which the executives are both honest, and competent? There is no reason to suppose otherwise? The outcome of a poorly judged trial should be redeemable, especially considering the promising data that the company has placed in the public domain? It is best to maintain some optimism for the time being IMHO.

Like you, I am growing tired of all the little games that are being played to maintain the share price of this company at a questionable low level?

Surely, the evidence, that has accumulated for a considerable time, suggests that the company’s MCap should be considerably higher than the current derisory valuation? Logically then, it is just a matter of time before investors see a positive market correction?

You are "preaching to the converted" on this forum TopSharePicker. Our contributors are mostly long term investors, who are still 90% or thereabouts down on our original investment following a failed trial outcome in February 2022.

Our journey has been long, and a really significant input from Synairgen is now needed to start getting us back on track? From my research, I suspect that it may take considerably longer before white smoke of any significance emerges?

Your situation is shorter term, and there may be opportunities for appreciable gains from the current share price trading level? ATB with your trading position.

Thank you for sharing that response Aether. It provides full clarification to some of my thoughts about the trial. I believe that Mrs. Clarke's provides the necessary detail in her response.

IMHO it is Synairgen's involvement in a collaborative project with significant partners that is important. The fine detail of that involvement is of little consequence.
