I don’t understand why there have been so many recorded small sells recently? This seems counter- intuitive to the information released by IB. Could some of the recorded sells actually be buys? Most likely, methinks?

A deliberate one, Doc83. More of the same from me to follow. Not too bad, considering that I have made an early start to the day.

Yet another positive development to add to the abundance of possible relevant background information. All we need is a positive statement from Synairgen to tie it all together, and bring about a re-launch of the company.

We really do need to give the market the confirmation that SNG001 has a route to commercialisation. Then, we can all breathe easy again, for the first time in nearly a year - as far as our investment in Synairgen is concerned.

You have adopted a moderate approach in your last two posts. I agree with the way that your arguments are presented, and the conclusions drawn from them, as should any investor.

I also concur with you and Doc.Daneeka that perhaps the term “zealot” is inappropriate should it interpreted outside my intended context? In future I will use more moderate language, and phrases like “ highly supportive of Synairgen’s work” will be used.

Perhaps there are too many misunderstandings all around on this board? I acknowledge that Synairgen have been busy during the last year. I used the phrase “small stuff”, as their consequences have had no good effect on the share price yet. Perhaps they may prove to be instrumental in taking investors to a better place?

I can think of no better place to convalesce than your part of the world. We have enjoyed some happy stays at the Richmond Hill hotel, and hope to return soon.

Definition of zealot:
A person who is fanatical and uncompromising in pursuing their ideals.

A mere description of some unspecified individuals’ behaviour on this bulletin board. Not even close to the offensive statements directed at named contributors on this forum recently.

I abhor online abuse; almost as much as I dislike the position taken by the easily offended in today’s society.

There are self-righteous individuals, who regularly contribute to this board. Whereas I applaud their positivity, I question their inability to accept other people’s opinions. Recently, Manifesto has changed her opinion and is postulating a perfectly reasonable explanation to Synairgen’s current situation. It is acceptable for others to counter with their own hypothesis, preferably without deriding the justifiable opinions of others. However, all investors must by now be open to whatever the future may hold?

Synairgen’s team failed their investors last February. Despite the claims of a few zealots that they have done well since then, there is zero evidence to substantiate that claim. The share price remains at the low point of a year ago. We will need to see whether next week offers an improvement to our current situation?

You have read a copy of my e-mail to Mrs Clarke. It was a simple request for a company representative to pay a quick visit to this bulletin board to gauge the opinions of long term investors. Nothing else.

The opinions of individual investors are irrelevant. My quote, which you continue to repeat, are my thoughts alone. There is nothing in that opinion that wouldn’t qualify it as an interpretation (correct or otherwise) of the facts as they stand. You should also note that I have stated on several occasions that I would be more than happy if my views were proven to be completely incorrect by he company’s future success.

Investors in a company have widely different opinions in their interpretation of the facts. I accept any serious comments, including yours, sympathetically. Should your interpretation prove to be an accurate prediction of Synairgen’s future, I will be more than happy. Until more concrete information emerges to stop and reverse the ongoing share price decline, my doubts will remain.

I would not expect a Synairgen representative to spend significant time on any share forum. They have better things to do. However, a skilled operative should be able to discern the comments of concerned long-term investors from bulletin board time wasters.

My request to the company was for a fleeting visit to our forum to measure the extent of long term investors’ concerns. Nothing else.

All investors are aware of that. It all comes under my “sweating the small stuff” category as it has had no positive impact on the share price. In fact, the opposite is true.

When Synairgen’s actions cause the share price to rise, I will be with the first to congratulate the company. Until then, my doubts will remain.

Rightly or wrongly, I wrote to the company this morning requesting that someone has a look at this forum to obtain a measure of how shareholders view their current situation? Should I receive a reply, I will share it.

I am writing to express the concerns shown by some long-term Synairgen shareholders.

It is nearly a year since the catastrophic Synairgen share price collapse following the announcement of the Sprinter trial top line data.

Since then, in the absence of a place on another P3 equivalent trial, the company‘s share price has continued to deteriorate. Synairgen’s strategy is open-ended, and is not indicative of any future steps that the the company might adopt?

I would politely request that someone in the company might take a little time to read the comments of faithful yet fearful long term investors on the LSE discussion forum. I have provided a link to enable quick access to that space. This will, at least, provide the company with a measure of long term investors’ worst fears.

Naewise. Your metaphor conveys investors, worst fears at the present time. Namely, does the CEO, together with his crew, have the skills set to move SNG001 towards approval and commercialisation?

I was optimistic at the start of the year, but with each passing day, devoid of news, less so. Instead, I am keeping an open mind about the situation? The positivity from well informed contributors on this board, who support their well-reasoned opinions with (tangential) evidence is helpful. Also the fact that TFG have maintained their shareholding offers a small measure of comfort.

I am expecting little from next week’s presentation. We have been down that road so many times on the last conference season. I was surprised to learn about it from a valued contributor to this board and not from the rolling and repetitive Synairgen twitter, and LinkedIn feeds?

I will, however, continue to hold for the long term, albeit with diminished confidence in the Synairgen team. As said previously, I will be delighted if they are able to turn the company around, and prove me totally wrong.

You have clearly seriously misread my earlier post. What I actually said was that a takeover bid of 70p would persuade me to sell my shares, albeit at a loss. ( A mere ‘guesstimate’; 33% of what I might have achieved had I sold at the right time; no mention whatsoever was made of TFG).

I have no idea whatsoever about whether there will be any incoming bid for the company, nor who might be interested in acquiring Synairgen?

Similarly, I am now treating the CEOs New Year message in a similar way. As far as I am concerned, his words are pure speculation, without any substance. He has led investors on a merry dance on too many occasions to be taken too seriously. That having been said, I sincerely wish him and his colleagues to every success in proving me totally wrong. Should their nebulous “strategy” be delivered in any shape or form to put my investment in profit, I will be with the first to congratulate them on their success.

Let us hope you are right TommyD_19. Let us hope that it proves to be the case. I mentioned yesterday that TFG remains our only crumb of comfort as things stand. Synairgen merely offers us continuously recycled twitter/LinkedIn messages, which have no substance - as far as the market/ share price is concerned.

Most LTIs are in agreement with your worst fears AJ316. Contributors to this forum who ramped up Synairgen’s prospects for nearly a year are now having serious doubts.

My impression is that they have retreated into their small spin-off biopharma shells, and have been sweating the small stuff at investors’ expense for nearly a year. The CEO has not presented a clear confident strategy for the company for well over a year. There is no evidence that any JV deals are in the pipeline. The job advert that was extensively discussed last week has no foundation.

I hope that I am seriously wrong in my impressions. As things stand, a takeover bid of 70p+ would persuade me to sell my shares albeit at a loss.

Next Tuesday is the one year anniversary of the Sprinter Top line data announcement. On that date, the 12 month high share price will fall to 35p. Surely, the CEO, and his highly experienced executives, will be as aware as LTIs of the significance of that date ?

The share price continues to trundle along the bottom of the trough that it fell into a year ago. Since then, we have not received a single announcement from the company that has increased the share price. Perhaps, with the approach of Feb 21, my doubts are groundless? I sincerely hope so.

The CEOs New Year statement was merely a rehashing of snippets from RNSs dating back to last March, together with the oft repeated statement from their Comms to LTIs seeking an update?
LTIs on this forum are remaining optimistic by looking at tangential information emerging from their personal research which may or may not have a bearing on the company’s future?

Surely, it is high time for the CEO to step up and, at the very least, inform us beyond the vague and nebulous statements that Synairgen has reiterated for far too long? I wonder what TFG are making of the apparent lack of progress? The fact that
TFG are firmly holding their position is a crumb of comfort.

If the CEO and his team are to remain credible, surely they need to make a statement of the company’s progress towards achieving their aspirations before next Tuesday? The constant recycling of the same messages, on LinkedIn and twitter, is not extensively viewed and changes nothing.

Agreed that ‘Women into Science’ is an important issue, and has been for decades. I have been involved over the years in arranging days in industry for Year 9 girls, and 6-week work experience summer placements for 18 year old female students prior to their University studies. The enthusiasm shown by the participants following their experiences demonstrated that these industry-led initiatives can have a major impact on future career choices.

Synairgen’s recent twitter and LinkedIn initiatives can only add to creating good impressions for aspiring female scientists and I wholeheartedly support it.

On the other hand I do not condemn Synairgen investors, who misjudged their investment at the time that the Sprinter trial was being conducted. A mild protest such as the one on this forum yesterday comes out of frustration, and the opposition is against peripheral activities from the company, and not specifically against ‘Women into Science’, They have a point in that the company has sweated the small stuff for far too long IMHO. It is time for the CEO and his under-employed team of executives to get a deal over the line, and with it get our investments back on track.

I did have a fleeting thought about what the extensive twitter and LinkedIn activity might be about. Could it be that the company are making a protracted legacy statement on social media prior to a takeover? I didn’t dwell on this spurious thought for too long.

Many thanks to all contributors to an informative series of posts, which effectively discussed and dissected the “Associate Medical Affairs Director” position. It would be transformative for the company if this position was linked to an incoming trial announcement? I remain unconvinced until a significant piece of Synairgen news finally arrives, that is! My doubt arises from the fact that the position has been variously advertised for some time. Additionally, it is not included on the company’s website? Currently, from that source, the company only have a vacancy for a lab assistant to work with a research scientist.

The long wait goes on. I will reserve judgement concerning the quality of the company’s executives? Despite the CEO’s assurance that they are all active in moving the company forward, for one year there hasn’t been a single piece of evidence to suggest that they have been successful?

I still believe in the product, and its massive potential. I can but trust that the Synairgen team are of sufficient quality to enable the company to meet with its aspirations?

I share your concerns, but until we receive an update from the company, there is little that can be done about it.

Some investors, on this forum who are far more knowledgeable about the processes concerned than I am, state that to achieve Synairgen’s objectives requires complex negotiations. This may well explain the time that they are taking to get a deal done?

Richard Marsden must already be aware of investor concerns from the messages that have been continuously sent to Brooke Clarke in recent months? If Richard and his executive team are competent, they will achieve a good result in due time.

I find it difficult to accept that the continuous reiteration of positive messages on LinkedIn and twitter are not from a company aspiring towards and confident about its future success. All IMHO, DYOR etc.
