Synairgen’s future?24 Apr 2023 12:19
My interpretation is that current and future planning will be focused on the development of SNG001 as a broad spectrum antiviral agent, which will subsequently be included, with other remedies, in planning for future pandemic outbreaks? Designing a trial for the former is a major project and may well be beyond the capabilities of the company as it stands? If my optimism is not misguided, the spadework undertaken over the past 14 months have resulted in Synairgen being, at least, on the radar of a large pharmaceutical entity? Therein rests the limit of my deduction from the information at hand. Whether this will result in a trial partnership, moving forward to a JV and licensing deal, or whether a T/O is possible further ahead is impossible to predict at the present time?
My aspiration is for a positive announcement which will move Synairgen out of the dismal share price trough in which the company has remained for most of the last 14 months. I concur with others that serious questions will need to be asked if there isn’t an operations update on the CEO’s unhelpful New Year statement to accompany the end of year interim results?
I would favour the current CEO leading the company to a successful outcome. Whether he and his leadership team are able to deliver remains to be seen?
Roll on next Thursday’s RNS whatever it contains. As investors, there has been a serious dearth of revenue changing information since the last trial failure. The company has a good cache of analysed data from its trials at its disposal. Unfortunately, this is of little value, as regards its valuation, until Synairgen can put it to optimal use resulting in a marketable product.
