It has been sad for sure.

So much debt allowed for nothing to go wrong and covid lockdown was something no one foresaw. Myself I hate spending time with the great unwashed - even theatre audiences are uncouth at times so my predictions around the cinema industry have long been negative.

For those who held before covid you have my sympathies, I guess there is some comfort knowing it was really beyond your control when covid took hold. It is however a hard lesson in taking a hit and preserving capital - my read of CINE was it was doomed following lockdown and a debt for equity arrangement was the best outcome if there was to be anything for shareholders and that would have been peanuts. As it is shareholders will be wiped out as they are pretty much now.

Mrs Crowmann a life long fan of clothes buying has little nice to say of Boo - indeed when I told her that I had bought some shares she was far from impressed declaring it to be a mistake of epic proportions. I told her it was only 'punting money' even though £4k is perhaps a bit more than that to myself. She tells me the clothes are very poorly crafted and sized and if she ever buys from them orders a skip load of options - mostly a size above and below of the same garment and invariably sends the lot back. I am here to take them from the Evri man and boy some of the orders are huge.

My point beeing sales are only sales if they do not go right back. I think this monster is only going to get bigger as more peaople game the online fashion world.

Will any trading update bring the news needed to see this recover at least to where it was a month ago? Or send it lower as currently we will see the 20's in the next two weeks without something positive.

My thoughts also - not as hot as it gets in that part of the world but too hot for a jolly.

He is definitely playing a game here - I hope it ends well for us and not just him of which I have no doubt it will.

It would appear he has learnt a very expensive lesson and wishes to share with others his more balanced approach.

I have to admit his earlier postings were bullish to a degree few would could consider valid.

Lets see what the TU brings - assuming there is one. Looking at last year it was preposted on the 6th - as yet no announcement. I have bought a few K here and will add if we get to 30p and again at 25 and 20p. Will cheerfully pack my bags at 55p which we might yet see late summer if sentiment and trading shows any signs of improving.

i think its general uncertainty that boo are not losing market share and fast. inflation at plus 10% sales need to be growing at that and more to stand still.

frankly i do not think they understand the brands that went beyond **** teenagers and so any vestigal value in ex ascadia and debs is going to the wall. then you are left with their core market and thats got options - shein etc.

funny you should say low 20's as thats when i first saw boo years ago and strongly pondered buying a few. of course as it and asos 20 bagged i dismissed any such thoughts.

yet here we are heading back (possibly) to the 20's.

are our ****stani market traders any good at doing anything more than running a rag trade stall and are they at this level worth a punt? despite strong evidence to the contrary i think a small flutter is in order.

my overwhelming concern is our mancunian chums are always getting ahead of themselves and simply cannot run a big business with the scrutiny and honesty that requires.

After all the nonsense last night regarding the UT and the sp today we can see quite clearly the UT was a worked sell as Qube take a pretty bold short increase for a company about to go private / PE bidding war / stronger trading etc etc.

So what do they know?

On the topic of share dilution the prospect of the shares being diluted to the extent mentioned makes an AIM stock look Blue chip. These sorts of dilutions are normally called RI's surely and the preserve of companies about to breach their banking covenants - what is the rationale for even the suggestion here?

Hindsights wonderful but that £1.17 sell price that sat on the offer for a good day IIRC looks like the moment the smart money said good bye and dont come back. Hey ho anyone have a timemachine - I need it for one task only................

Yesterday the same bunch of useless rampers and delusional holders pontificated endlessly about the 5m UT and how that meant we were heading for the moon this morning.

£3 would indeed be a nice surprise here. Personally I will settle for £2.

I will be very disappointed if I am still a holder of THG at xmas. Personally I think Apollo will go over the heads of THG board with a public offer that they will have to put to the shareholders. In that event I doubt they would turn down anything starting with a 2.

I struggle to recall anything Mr Ashley has bought in the past few years that has not been off the reciever/administrator.

He learnt the hard way via Debenhams that buying equity is not the cheap way to gain control. In 2018 he went to just below 30% in Debenhams and I am pretty sure he was going to launch an offer until HOF came crashing down at the exact same time. He bought HOF on the easiest terms imaginable and I beleive any thought of buying Debenhams went out the window except from the administrator.

Having lost a bundle there I am glad he failed - the man is a total vulture.

Now dear old Oke' does like to talk his book as all on here will appreciate - I suspect he sold a good few a while back - wise if he did given where we are currently. However for those of us solidly back under water albeit in my case around 23,000 'free' shares following the Apollo debacle where does this go next?

The GS going has to be the defining point where Apollo if they were serious before go behind MM's back with a hostile (or perhaps not) bid. I think most LTH's would grab £2 and run for the hills to be gone from this outfit.

Got to love THG - what chance has it got of a premium listing with a trickster at the helm? Something has to give here and fast, I find it hard to beleive the wider II's are happy with what they see.

I think Geely are positioning to take control and ultimately buy AML.

Whether thats good or bad depends on your average price but like Lotus they will want at the least a contolling interest.

I do not think for a minute Stroll wants to stay on board longer than he can - selling up in this way is as discrete as it gets short of a full takeover.
