Me I suspect a small premium to the current sp - think 80p and you will be a lot closer.

@101 - I think its a mix of hero worship and cultism. To some on here I suspect they just soooo want to be Mr Moulding - they probably are sexual attracted to him to some degree.

Hence the 'trolls out' nonsense often repeated on here. The inability to see what is clearly in front of you combined with hope and the above makes this a very strange BB to read at times.

Myself - I have come to the strong beleif that THG is a pure gamble on whether MM can pull some deal out the hat to suit himself and allow me to leave with a smaller loss than currently I enjoy. Its sure not a proper Plc as even the most diehard will agree.

Indeed Rock - MM has without remorse hugely enriched himself via the IPO and subsequently done everything in his power to trash the sp.

Given he has zero regard for shareholders as demonstrated by his fondness of dilution by way of share incentives I think it is entirely probable that a low ball MBO is being planned. The shorters I strongly suspect are inside and hence their refusal to buy back in.

The big players in the buy out - MM will need to share the spoils to get them to accept any losses on their holdings will carry the day and in the event of any counter bids can effective block. The rest of us can and will be hung out to dry.

The Golden share is the critical element here and hence why I beleive the moment to take this private is now. MM knows that only too well and to him it will be the perfect solution and another deal he can be proud of when he struts around Manchester as the great local hero he is.

Had vague hopes of this replicating the last quarters pre results Monday and being able to flog a few at 70p plus.

I cannot see that now.

Best hope someone comes along and puts THG out of its misery. My guess is noone is vaguely thinking of what was once dismissed as derisory £1.70 - probably lose the pound element.

Normally any streamlining of an under the cosh business gets a thumbs up sp wise. Clearly for THG not.

What are peeps thoughts on this in terms of the results and indeed the sp looking forward?

Myself - it just adds to the uncertainty that many of the ventures MM bought with IPO cash were poor or THG have simply failed to maximise their potential. I would welcome closure here via a buy out and certainly not division sales as that will simply allow MM to fritter some more cash until it also runs out.

You fail to recognise the very clear risk that MM does not want the sp to rise. Indeed quite the reverse - lets rinse the current shareholders ala Softbank to make fortune No2 in the US.

It is sadly my bet and I hold - go figure!

The more you see of MM the less likeable he becomes.

I think a good few peeps will be reducing if we ever see 75-80p pre results. I know I will.

Suggest you learn to comprehend what you are reading some what better.

@ Canary - Do you not see the silarity with THG gifting shares to staff with no targets or time to hold them for? Equally last year his share and gifting looked very dodgy to me - again they could be seen as disguised sells.

The SFO were interested in Terry for telling enormous fibs to the market not his attempt to hoover £x's millions in November 2014 to appear as though he was supporting the shareprice.

PS Why resort to insults? If you think any solid company goes from an IPO to £8 and then down to 30p in less than 18 months is not either badly run or crooked then insulting me is some what stupid.

This share is currently a complete gamble - nothing more. The 20th might well show real issues and no jam tommorow. Conversely it might state all is improving - sadly we know that might be a lie and reversed three months later.

Like I said lets hope its game over soon with a 3 dgit number to leave with.

@ Canary - Do you have any understanding of how Quindell unfolded? Much of what you see being written on this board echos that of Quindell.

Cultish devotion to his written and spoken word by disciples who took a very long time to realise they had been conned. The saving grace being like MM Rob Terry was a good conman who managed to salvage a sizeable chunk for shareholders by finding an idiot to sell out to.

Hope for us here perhaps. Me I would find peace at a break even £1.10p - Bring it on Matt we love ya!

£2 - Wishful thinking off a share price of 50p.

My long experience of these situations is the share price must rally considerably from 50p to ever arrive at a number like £2.

Simply put any offer today would be at a modest premium to the current sp. If we have a disasterous update in April and sink to 30p with nothing to hope for (think non existant 'whales') 40p might be enough.

As Kando said the market does not trust MM further than they can throw him and neither do I. He needs to go end of.

The why is the unanswered question. My strong beleif is to create the pefect conditions for a low low ball bid with his onside investors who will get to share the spoils when this relist in the US.

I have not discounted the low ball offer being below where we stand today. What has MM done todate that suggests otherwise? Nothing tangible aside of getting shot of the FO and that was done reluctantly I suspect.

@sb - Lots of positives prior to the last quarter - all a bit pie in the sky but they formed part of the run up to us going from 70p to just shy of 50p in two days.

Could happen again but I think thats like expecting lightening to strike the same spot twice.

If it does and we see anything north of 70p I guarantee I will be selling a fair few and so will plenty of others.

@moody Agreed and the price could be pretty dismal too. Best hope as I see it is break up value.

Personally I would accept a loss here and grab a pound a share and run like the wind. I very much doubt we will see better.
