I was never comfortable with last years share buying / selling chicanery. Has the RNS confirmed all was not as it first appeared.

Roll on the bid - I am expecting around £1.30 - £1.50.

My nibble of an extra 17500 at 91p was the kicker it needed. Please everyone now relax we are heading once more to the promised land and the Land Rover website to spec up our new car.......................................... Other premium brands are available.

Hold as of this minute a round 100,000 shares in THG bought and long paid for. I am simply looking at the form book here and summising we have been had.

Its all looking a bit likely I would say. No bid or just what they used to call a very safe bid will see this plummet to 50's at best.

Will we all look back at this moment when we could have sold out at 90p and wished we had. As Oke has rightly pointed out THG is in a tight spot and needs to raise capital to fund Igenuity - My Protein will have to go on the block and forced sellers rarely get their price.

Time will tell.

I have always loved this BB for the cultist paranoia and today is no exception.

Just for those smart enough to understand this is a SETs traded stock and the price falls if there are more sellers in the market than buyers. This morning (early and might change) is demonstrating this quite neatly.

Given the expectations and indeed the various parties involved I expected better than this morning - yes its early but still I cannot help but wonder that without something a little more concrete the sp has run out of steam and may even roll backwards into the 80's.

Reading the endless wishful thinking on here yesterday we were not pausing for breathe until £1.50 afterall the bids in at £3.

Might have read that wrong but it sure was the impression I had. Why are we stuck at sub a pound with no urgency to go higher. Feels all a bit like last time to me.

I fear those in the know understand the Appollo bid is in effect a cheap MBO where MM and chums tuck up the shareholders with a seriously poor fait acompli offer that they will fully endorse.

The language currently in use gives little or no hope to the £2 plus dreamers (this is an MBO in all but name remember) and strongly looks like £1 to £1.20 is the number we will see only this time MM will declare things have changed and the world hates us so I have accepted etc.

Soz and want to be proven wrong but the market here is telling us momething we do not wnat to see.

I was not here when the last time a bid was announced so have no reference point to what was said on here but I suspect it was pretty similar. Lots of peeps hoping for nearer £3/4 after a bidding war broke out etc.

Today we have a single notional but zero declared bidder albeit with a reputation to lose unlike the Candy brothers.

@ prox - none of that makes sense unless you expect it to go to £1.40 and then halve.

If like last time the offer is made and rejected because its too low in the opnion of MM / BOD it will get no where near the offer price. This time however (and assuming all things are honest) Appollo and not some mates of MM are doing the offereing - V different.

Me - I have no idea how this will play, cannot see a tempting number coming from Apollo - North of £2 to get MM interest, similarly do see MM wanting it off the market. Between those stools lies the future perhaps?

Me I would be happy with anything over £1.50 - other I appreciate less so. MM if he is selling wants £3 plus, buying however he wants to pay as little as possible.

Tempted to buy a few back however I cannot help but think the Apollo Rns was just a smokescreen in which after today THG are heading back to the 50's and in truth unless something changes the knackers yard.

Hmm well the form book was correct THG fail yet again to demonstrate they truly understand the game they are in - Nutrition excepted.

Was the Apollo just another trick in the MM play book - MM knew full well the state of the numbers and to say it was a useful coincidence is to put it mildly.

I think we are heading for low 70's if not lower over the next few weeks and 50's at most of Apollo declare they did not what they were doing on the 17th. At which point MM will have to go as even the most evangelical of his supporters will see they are being lied to.
