MA's purchase has done little for the sp today or previously. BOO need to take a leaf out of RR's book and announce they are finally making some cash out of flogging their cheap tut. Until then this I fear is going no where.

@ohh' - That scenario is plausible and entirely possible. The shares would still be listed until the offer became final and the shares delisted.

It happens fairly regularly. In my exp' the share price does get a lot further ahead of itself towards the offer price in the run up though. So any thoughts of £2.50 plus could happen but Isuspect the sp would be galloping towards that point anyway.

This is a PLC and the offer would need to be approved by the shareholders - the shares would continue to be listed and depending on the price offered the share price would move accordingly.

In no circumstances I can currently imagine would THG be allowed to suspend to facilitate that process.

in the meantime I would be happier if THG got into three figures again.

@Oke' Never convinced BB are plagued by paid derampers - THG were evangelical about the company when in truth MM was doing evrything I could see to run the sp down.

Here I just think too many folk have nothing better to do than provoke a reaction.

Little impetus from yesterdays announcement with BOO this morning - the lack of stamp duty makes it very tempting to scalp the odd halfpenny so I guess they need to RNS something that moves the sp up. What and when though?

Is it time poor old BOO caught up with THG and climbed to at least 70p? They were for much of the past 12 months almost in share price unison. One had a bad day so did the other, cannot recall any good days for THG before Apollo came knocking. BOO on the other hand are overdue a correction to I would like to hope 70p.

Lets see and for myself I've flogged a few THG to take me past 130k of these little blighters. Dont tell Mrs Crowman she thinks BOO suck.

My cunning plan is to switch from THG at £1.70 plus into BOO to add to the 100k I already have. I want them for sub 32p.

So quit this 'movement up brutal etc'.

This share is a disaster and will only stop falling when it hits zero. Next stop 20p!!!

Fabled 'masterclass' investor The.Crowman has sold a very small part of his THG position to assist underwater shorters clamber out of the deep and getting deeper hole they find themselves in.

Do not expect more of the same - this kindly gesture will not be repeated below £1.50.

This is not MF twaddle - its a statement of fact. Cover is being reduced and in some instances down to zero. That normally means a real drain on fre cash flow as suppliers will want upfront payments to some degree.

Given I beleive BOO flogged off at a huge loss inventory to make the numbers look better at the last set of results they now have fewer options to make it all look better. That the TU was two short paragraphs tacked onto the end of a REVB update I do fear they are not trading well. Remember they need to increase sales currently by at least 10% to stand still.

Allianz and the rest of the supplier cover brigade are nearly always the canary in the coal mine with retailers. They just know too much about the health of a retailer and reducing cover is a very bad omen.

The irony is poor old Deb's terminal descent into the gurgler was prefaced by Atradius and Euler Hermes slashing supplier cover. Denials followed by DEB's that it would not affect them and yet it was truly the beggining of the end.

BOO - this will certainly take them down on Monday -2p is my guess. The real test will be growth and profitability at the next results - if they cannot show at least 10% topline and realistic prospects of making money from that then this is also the end of BOO as it currently stands - break up beckons and as we know omline only retail plays are not worth a lot. Two automated warehouses will clear the debt - so bond holders will be OK.

Invest here what you are happy to lose. 14p in early 2024 might well be the share price.

Personally Oke I do not beleive you are at BE. You stated you went in big at 41 and averaged down again at just below or above 40p. Given we are only 3p over the very lowest price of recent times you would have had to have bought masses at 32/3.

@Canary3 - It was your erudite posts on all matters THG that convinced me to go BIG on THG. I should have sent you a thank you for making me see the error of my ways and in doing so make a few ££ along the way.

Following a brief but fruitful search on the old Rightmove The Crow fam' have found their 'forever' home and now just need THG shares to get to £6.27p before exchange day.

I will be a cash buyer at that point and despite some reservations I have sent the agents a link to this chatboard to convince them it will all be it the bag in less than 10 weeks time.

@Binky - Do not bring the mood down with your realism please. I have just worked at if THG are bought for £6 my small holding will buy me a nice house in Devon. Off to Rightmove to see whats on offer...........

CPI are serial disappointments thats for sure. I hold but only a few 1000's and only since fairly recently - strong chance these will revist the low 20's as they have done before.

Lewis going might be the start of a rerate but fundamentally they need to show they can actually win contract and make a profit on them. For what seems like forever they have been busy fools losing money on pretty much everything they win.

I do not see BOO making anything from their Debs purchase in clothing terms - makeup no idea. They have failed to invest in the brand since purchase and are neither one thing or the other. Sorry but I am not convinced outside of fast fashion they have a clue.
