Quite content for this to slip into the teens 19p 18p at the worst if it comes to it but frankly I think we saw the bottom today at 20p and a touch. Perhaps another durector will take a few?

CPI is no value trap - you are using the wrong terminology.

That does not hide the fact today has not gone well and indeed with all shares zero is the bottom ...or suspension.. or admin etc.

None of which are in prospect here.

Ps Schroders have move d up and down with CPI for as long as I have watched them. Just as likely to increase shortly as to keep selling.

In terms of overreaction this is a great example of the market pedulum going way to far from fair value imo.

If it goes lower I will be surprised and happy to pick up a few more as the swing back will be faster.

These matters are an evolving beast and there was always a likelyhood costs would increase. Reasonably those costs should now be know. Expect the upper end of the range. I further expect insurance relates only to potential third party claims against CPI - which also explains why that has not been referenced - its down to their insurers.

Otherwise its cash out the till which is not good but in the scheme of things almost part of the risks CPI work within. Hopefully as I said earlier they have now got a vastly more secure setup.

It reads quite clearly the net costs to CPI will be after insurance payout between 20 and 25m. The word net is key NOFEAR.

The total cost is clearly somewhat more than £25m (max - well for now) but CPI expect something back from their cover.

Simples and in large part the reason for the fall Friday. What we should ask is what resilience value has part of this spend given CPI? I would suggest quite a bit - they cannot afford to have this happen again so much of the spend has been to ensure it does not I beleive. Thats residual value within a one off event which is the only crumb of comfort.

Two years ago this might well have sunk CPI - so theres that!

@Hex' I hope I am not percieved as being critical of Go' - I get where he is at over CPI.

My point is the reaction to what I fully accept were disappointing results is they were largely disappointing in the context of what was expected. The relatively new CFO was supposed to be the turning point around under promise and over deliver which has not happened. Lewis has been a disaster IMV given investors pre rights would have been better off if CPI had gone pop prior to those RI's.

I expected a rally when JL's announced he was leaving now I suspect the new guy will simply put CPI on the block lock stock and barrel instead of piece meal. Given the core profitability that would be at least 45p a share.

@GOCPI - You have been a one stock holder for so long (CPI) that you have lost sight of what is what here. Now like a jilted bride you have gone very negative which I do understand. You are missing the point here though. CPI is capitalised ludicrouly low for a profitable 3bln busines. So low in fact bid talk cannot be far away.

Losses from the cyber hack are inevitable - what insurance cover they have on this needs to be made clearer (I suspect the declared numbers are net of any payments) and this is undoubtedly a blow. Write downs on spurious goodwill valuations are almost inevitable so no surprise there and then what?

If you thought CPI were out the woods pre last results then you could be foregiven thinking as much - DL has been very keen to trumpet his achievements but for myself I always knew there was work to do. But selling at 23-24p which was most of Friday I beleive was a mistake. This story has way more upside than down at this level. Unlike you who stated these were a hold at 39p - then was the sell or at least sizeable reduce and that is not hindsight talking.

Me - I think this will recover and do so quite surprisingly the removal of DL being the start of the process. My concern is the cost of buying here against previous holdings.

I will reduce my exposure at 28p and be gone at 35p. Neither of which are a reach for CPI with some better news. In short GO' I think you have made a mistake selling at these levels.

@GOCPI - the close was not a new low - I have bought this pup last year at its nadir for less (not much less 21.7p IIRC) so we have that bridge yet to cross.

In terms of a business profits are up and TO is up so in some ways todays read across was the delay in booking asset sales against debt - this has been ongoing for two years plus so hardly new.

I am expecting this to recover and do so fairly quickly. I do not think this returning to the low 30's before eo Sept is unduly optimistic. Others may disagree.

I am already close to 'all in' selling the majority of my THG holdings and BOO this week. Which is tragic as both have risen against a near £20 loss on a holding that did not exist a week ago.

In terms of CPI I do not doubt the firm has some further issues to address but today was about disappointing holders who had been lead up the garden path somewhat.

As a term of reference I have been 70K in the hole with THG in the recent past so £20k is somewhat less. I expect CPI will stage a recovery when the dust settles and we will return to around the mid 20s minimum. I will be super annoyed with myself if THG or BOO go on a RR type upward rampage as this was supposed to be a switch trade. Durrr.

I bought 300,000 shares today and will be all in with a total of around 720k if we see a drop into 20p land on Monday.

All in is as brave as it is stupid in the land of shares but some folk (like me) never learn.

It is highly unusual for a 16% plus fall on simply a disappointing set of numbers without any kind of recovery.

I tend to agree that much of todays fall is due to JL's mission over Linkedin post. Truth be told today read like nearly every CPI results I have ever seen (post 2021) basically jam tommorow. I think peeps are fed up with that sell.

Call me stupid but I am a buyer at these levels - not expecting much of a bounce but a bounce will happen.

22's - IIRC corectly March 22 saw us touch 21's so theres where we might go.
