@LD1973 - If I sold CPI now I could buy back 26,000 more shares in THG than I had previously. Between trading out at 21p and today I am down 13% ish on CPI whereas THG is close to half from when I sold.

Would have been better to have stayed in cash from THG but the Clown on here is Hopin and others who simply cannot accept Mr Moulding (their secret man crush I suspect) might have done a number on them as he did Softbank and many others.

H' - I was Hopin' for a better response than that. Not sure why but I am always hopeful.

Could I ask you a small favour.... wind yer ramping and insulting neck in. Your endless pontificating that this or that will happen resulting in THG sp of £2/3 has been plain wrong.

I had to chuckle a few months ago at the term as it was being bandied about on here as Hereshopin among others boasted about Diamond Hands - they were not selling for a measly £1.10. Oh no they were in for the real loot.

Personally I think BOO will touch the low 20's this year as investors realise they are a busted flush. With what I fully expect a costly adventure into the US simply adding red ink to the balance sheet BOO will start to canabalise its freehold assets to stay alive.

The end will be set in motion and that end is bust. Mr Ashley will takewhats left unless he has not bought DEB's platform before then. I seriously think he wants to bring them back to the High Street and the longer BOO have them the less they will be worth.

Big Mike bought DEB's to just shy of 30%. Lost the lot.

No offence but IMV it was crazy not to sell when these hit £1.20 back in May this year or indeed as I did at £1.08 ave 10 weeks ago.

Indeed Moniman - MM has little incentive to over pay for the shares - afterall he bought the last lot for 30p odd. Notions of him paying £1 plus have always looked very fanciful. I have no doubt he wants it back but for buttons.

@T4G - They said that at every whole bump down. Even I was taken in by the 30p and no lower brigade - glad to have exited at close to 40p.

My entirely anectdotal info is BOO are shocking in terms of sizing and quality. The Crow' famm and its a big flock still I am told give BOO a look in but it all goes back and I do mean all.

They bought brands in the belief they knew what they were doing with them. Clearly they do not and in retail thats critical. The capex investment has value but as always its only if there is a willing buyer do you better firesale prices for them.

The race is on to survive - will MA spend some cash this afternoon? Yes I would expect he is waiting to see if it gets to 25p then I expect an RNS which might take us to where we are now.

Same script as others read from at 60p...50p..40p 30p and now in the 20's.

Think this cannot go lower? When the US investment flops (as most Brit retailers do btw in the States) this will be sold off in bits.

BOO and ASOS have got far ahead of themselves in terms of their USP. The results are where we are today.

If BOO was a start up some of this would hold. It isnt - they simply do not know how to run the business. It is in managed decline.

Why serial punter MA would want any of this I cannot fathom but hey he went down owning just short of 30% of DEBs - this looks to be going the same way.

Given such releases are dressed up as best as they can be BOO's latest is a true shocker.

Again selling down inventory to provide working capital whilst prudent in one way is masking a sinking ship.

Now which of these two is closer to the truth and if you are wise enough to beleive its the latter consider whther his next ruse is to take THG onto the rocks and thereby enable himself to buy the remains back for buttons. Pretty much everything the man has done post IPO leads in that direction.

@Oke - You are talking your book IMV.

BOO have yet to prove they can manage the brands beyond fast fashion - skimpy teen/ young adult wear is getting more competitive - Shein will predatory price until they own the picture. BOO simply do not understand mid market so a fall to the 20's is hardly off the radar.

Remember at firesale prices stock is pennies in the pound - ask DEB's old shareholders if you are in doubt.

No doubt buying at this level is safer than days gone by, however the threat to BOO is within and without.

Within - The platform is ugly and sells poor quality clothes oddly sized. Hence their strotosheric returns rate and that leaves aside the wear it and return brigade.

Without - the fast fashion and the peeps that buy it are by and large very price sensitive and will move to Shein - indeed are already doing so.

@Oke - You are placing far too much faith in Debs IMO. They were sector leaders in makeup and cosmetics pre BOO but that required bricks and mortar retailing. Online they are only as good as they are exclusive and I do not think they have much exclusivity. Result they are just another online retailer.

Safe enough at 32p - still could go lower or indeed bust in time. I would wait to add more after next week.

@RB - No kick please be assured. No confidence either that BOO know what they are doing along with ASOS.

Time will tell but the numbers from ASC paint a poor picture despite I suspect as much massaging as the auditors allowed to put some gloss on them.
