When cars, buses are being powered by battery or H Fuel Cell, the air quality will increase to levels not seen before ( before industrialisation, people burnt coal and wood, and we had Smog). Worldwide, millions die pa from chest infections. The roads are quieter. The employment opportunities for 'green' energy will be immense. Tne downside at the moment is the war in Ukraine. Putin gets his coffers filled with oil and gas sales to China, India, Africa, in other words, the usual suspects. China will be a World leader in BEV and BYD will soon be selling cars in Europe. Britain has, as usual, not taken the chance to be a global leader. The main benefit though is the reduction of GHG in the atmosphere, which is fuelling extreme weather conditions Worldwide. Now there is an argument that these extreme conditions are cyclical, over decades or even millennia. May be correct. However, the big question is ' what if they are wrong'. The answer to that could be rising sea levels of 15mtrs, resulting in 80% of Worlds population having to move inland., and possibly the destruction of life as we know it. If they are right, we get cleaner air, and goodbye to OPEC and oil oligarchs.

I have banged my drum on this site for years that PHE/Peel was totally the wrong option for a FOAK. A JV with Peel would have been acceptable as long as the FOAK was developed by PHE. It should have been up and running 3 years ago. There were obvious partners to assist in both the cost, feedstock, and project sites.
There are a number of posters here who constantly 'bang on' about how important H2 is going to be in future energy plans and transportation fuel. This is common knowledge, but it will not be sourced from DMG. There are plants being built now that can produce 20K tonnes pa either by electrolysis or SRM. That H2 will be significantly less expensive than DMG. DMG should concentrate on syngas production to produce electricity, or, through Hydrogenation to form synthetic fuels. Always remember, that the raison d'etre of DMG is the environmentally friendly disposal of non-recyclable plastic waste, with a beneficial product, ie; syngas. That is the way to sell DMG. Simple,
