Yesterday in the q and a an analyst teased out of the CFO the fact that the year end target does not include the final quarter contribution from Courir but does include the debt - so that is a double plus. We also have the falling gbp lifting foreign earners a couple of percent and we have the cold and wet weather since the end of q3 giving sales a lift. So obvious this is over sold we have the director buying. All of which has not been enough. Maybe someone will write something nice over the weekend....

Jerry, ref point 1. No AIM shares are IHT free as of the recent budget BUT surely if you hold ggp for the 2 qualifying years it attracts IHT relief at 50%, i.e only 20% of the value counts for IHT?

@Darlonil, sorry to hear of your loss. With that size of stake it may be worth hanging on as unlisted shares do have a value. I sold out because I have 4 or 5 unlisted shares now and I hear nowt and am suspicious that the company directors will still find a way to keep the 'profit ' for themselves via bonuses etc should they come good. Without scrutiny and a useless FCA it feels like robbery. I am putting no more money into aim stocks as I have only found about 2 honest and professional ones [ ggp and msi] amongst the 20 or so I have touched over the years. Good Luck.

Alessandro, yes I know our ceo is french , mypoint is that I can find no logic for the poor sentiment here and was thinking that maybe some analysts were xenophobic and not seeing the qualities of his leadership which were apparent to the Chairman and investors.

One further major point from the HL article is that they trade at only half their average P/e of the last few years and that should be giving us all confidence.

I was hoping that a weaker dollar today and common sense would lift the sp here. There is a note from HL that more or less says - this is undervalued but the expansion plans carry some risk and are ahead of recovery in sentiment for the product. I see it differently , in that we have no debt and are managing expansion from cash generation which allows for capex to be pulled back if necessary. I think it is all about confidence and the ceo does not have an impressive command of the english language , but our major shareholder is super smart and imv would have done the right dd . So I keep buying more in expectation that one day , Rodney....

Ant, your electricty bill is lower than mine , for a similare sized house and I pay £200 for gas on top! What was your elecky bill before your ashp was installed, if you don't mind me asking?

Ant, good luck to you . To help us all understand the practicalities, how many sq feet is your house or how many bedrooms do you have and do you heat whole house?

I currently pay a combined £400 per month for gas and elecky.

Two things to add to the debate; in streets of terraced houses they will not work on days when the air is still because the cooling effect of each device will reduce the heat available for the neighbours. Air is not 'dense' enough to contain sufficient energy to heat the street and there will be localised cooling - try standing near just one and you will see. Secondly our power supply system at a street level will be overloaded by these and the evs being charged. At peak just now the gas network carries four times the energy that the electricty network does which was designed and installed over the last 100 years. Where will the people , money or cable come from to replace it over the next 8 years ? Impossible.

One part of the live q and a session I found reassuring was that the year end debt will be zero , which is great considering the acquisition of Hibbet and capex on rebranding certain stores. For people who did not listen in , I also got the impression that they are confident around the new guided figure - so maybe they want to outperform for once like next do every time!

Here's my take on the USA - short term when they look at the numbers and compare ourp/e of mid single digits with their own retailers they will buy. Next year , with Trump giving out his tax cuts there will be a boom which will help us significantly . given our business there equals/ exceeds the UK shops. As for the SP - bargain basement today - expecting a 105p close - weshall see.
