I recall watching a medical expert on the TV explaining differences in spend levels between US and UK and one factor was testing , in that the US medics order lots of expensive tests , even if they have doubts as to their usefulness simply because they can't risk being sued and someone else is paying for the tests. Therefore i expect take up there will be both speedy and significant but we shall see.

The market is currently pricing the chance of success here at little better than 1 %, if the 6bn mcap calculation holds. Investing at this price seems like good odds to me.

One poster yesterday said that we should not overlook the ROW and considering that the UK and USA combined make up only 5% of the population , there must be many many opportunities for partnering/expansion. An announcement along thos lines would clearly lift the sp further, said the investor living in hope!

I am going to have one of these tests in the not too distant future and the process involves sending the company £750 before they do anything and that means cashflow will be brilliant wrt all private tests. Not sure how the private insurance refund system works in the states but Medicare state they take around 30 days to reimburse providers which seems pretty good to me and likely norm across the sector. So no worries as we scale up.

Toffers, I thought you were a genuine poster with you contributions on GGP etc BUT just now I doubt that . I responded to your erroneous claim about the 99% by posting a link to the actual paper. The accuracy of the 2020 nottingham test was only 12.% better than the PSA test at detecting cancer. The 99% figure is the accuracy with which that test can pinpoint the stage that the cancer is at ONCE it is detected. Please read the full paper.

What I am expecting in the next few weeks is an anouncement of a licensing deal with a major lab in the USA which will be a signal that demand there is high and that will lift the sp to a new level.

Who would want the test that was 67% accurate , highlighted by Toffers, in prefence to the OBD test at 94%? Nobody imv.

Slacker, Toffers is wrong because if you read the actual published paper [ see my earlier post below] the Nottingham team;s test is only 67% accurate at detecting cancer and is not clinically validated. If people panic and sell first thing that will suit me as I shall be buying more in the morning.

Toffers, I have read the first section of the paper and whilst I did not understand it all, I did understand the following sentence;

'This work resulted in a new detection tool which was 12.5% more accurate than the PSA test in detecting prostate cancer; and in a detection tool that was 99% accurate in predicting the risk of the disease (in terms of clinical significance) in individuals with prostate cancer.'

So it is only around 67% accurate in detection but if you have cancer 99% accurate in predicting the stage of the disease and therefore is not a competitor in the initial screening procees imv.In addition it has not yet been clinicaaly validated as of the date of publication.

Earl, who will pay £750 for a test , me for a start as an alternative to a biopsy and in any event to understand with more certainity whether I have the big c or not. Once the UK lab is open the shipping costs will not be there and my expectation is that the UK customers , especially the NHS will only pay half that figure, reducing the uk income to just a few hundred million per annum on a reactive basis of billions if screening. all imv so dyor.

Jadams, we are only part way up what you are calling a spike, likely we will hit 65p today imv and not fall back below 55p - just my guess.

I think that many traders are selling , hoping to buy back later. That tactic could go wrong for them just as it could go wrong for the buy and hold brigade like me. Rolls Royce got off to a flying start for me and I am still holding , some 36 years later, waiting for it all to come good. lol.
