Bamb, my guess is that the company are not doing any PR because they are innundated with enquiries atm and only have the usa lab ready to go. UK lab a few months off so they could not cope with more business. All of this is just a guess on my part so dyor.

Well in the usa 25 million per annum psa tests says google , therefore IF each was followed up by an OBD test that would amount to around £18 billion of income . Just 1% of that should lift the sp so good times ahead imv.

Ref Test Price, the good news is that i finally got through on the telephone and spoke to a very helpful lady who has forwarded my contact details to the US who will be in touch in due course. The bad news is that the test is only available privately at this stage and the US team will let me know the cost, which I will report back on. the better news is that they have had many enquiries from doctors the press and others.

Ref price, on the day of the RNS someone posted on this board a figure of £1168, which seemed an astronomic figure to me. I guess a phone call to their order line on 01865 504932 will clarify.

Theoffice, in answer to the question about other companies - I have no idea . I have not read anything in the news or seen anything on google searches but I doubt there are UK companies because this test was developed, I think over about 10 years with support from the nhs, cancer bodies and a UK uni, which is a lot to replicate by others.

I think the income will be arriving from now onwards - but I have no idea of production capacity and whether demand can be met. The simple facts are that everyone who knows about the relative accuracy of this test vs the psa will say to their clinician ,' lets not waste time with the psa, I want the OBD test please' and I am one of those people.

Bline, i aid this yesterday and will repeat it today. i do not believe anyone is too late here at this price. IF the company can scale up and grab adecent slice of the market the upside is probably ten fold. There are risks , i.e a big player might copy the technology and try and slug it out in court , the company's management may be incapable of the next pahse of its development and a few others. But I have bought another £8k today at prices up to 37p based on my view that we will be at least double by the weekend. Good luck to all and DYOR.

Earl you are right it is not a pandemic and only 10million men have a psa test each year in America and that is with the knowledge that the tests are potentially inaccurate. Clearly the market is only worth a few billion in USA, where only 5% of the worlds men live. So it is clearly niche if any one is 'Short' sighted.

I would not be surprised if a big american comapny say abbott laboratories decided to make a bid before obd gets too established with a higher mcap from a substantive trading record.

The company will clearly be sold now and to the highest bidder because otherwise hedin will vote against , imv.
