To remind everyone of that question posed in an interview with Robert Ambrose "what does all this mean for Aminex" his answer "its Huge". In the case of any merger etc, I feel 7p is fair and 10p plus is nudging towards Huge. I understand why it was deemed right we acccepted the Farm Out Capital Gains tax levy, but still find it odd that such a tax is paid in advance of approval. No doubt the small print exonerates any onus on government to grant approval once tax is paid.

Starting my own paper & print business in the mid seventies, doing rather well I decided to cast around looking to invest and hey, there's this small O&G company exploring in Tanzania. The CEO was buying acreage and prospects appeared good. In no time at all, along came a dividend (the one and only). Thereafter you all know the rest of the story but my conclusion of the Phoenix article, there is one man that stands out head shoulders as the reason we are where we are right now and that man is Brian Hall. What I cannot understand is why did he resign right before the 'Transaction' EGM ? Looking at the CEO's that followed on, their conduct some may say has been questionable. If ever we do get that long forgotten 10p party, I'd like to hope we get Mr Hall to join us - I suggested the Shard as a convenient London venue.
