Diplomat, I have it on good authority that Craig Brown was spotted in a supermarket in Victoria buying 500 rolls of Kleenex..... The ECR DR plan is sorted. :-)

Low trading volumes always move the SP quickly for no reason....only takes one person to put in a £10k buy order and this will be back level for the day.
so this will bounce up and down on a daily basis...I've taken my position and am just waiting.

The real test will be where this lands after news is announced.

I see another GGP jump on drill results today.
ECR on the Creswick license have only drilled 300m of a 7km strike so we have plenty of drill announcements to come over the coming months/years.
The GGP 'outstanding' results seem to stack up to to our previous drill results.

The mining sector was down 11.8% so we moved broadly in line.
A good day not to announce a deal.

Taken down 10% on just over 500k shares of trading (the first 'sell' reported this morning was a delayed report buy from Friday.
MMs order filling (sell or buy).

But agree, would like to see news sooner rather than later...although it's a bloodbath out there today so news landing now may get lost in the noise.

FTSE is getting battered this morning and oil has tanked (pun intended)...gold is going to be a safe haven for many.

I believe that we will get a couple of deals announced hich add real value to ECR followed by a dilution (which may accompany another deal / news if initiatives adding further value).
They will try to get the SP up before announcing a fund raise.
Better to dilute 10% at 3p SP rather than 30% at 1p.

The 'Itogon bubble'......I remember it (and my share profits dwindling) well.
That was under the old BOD and a completely different situation with a zphillipine government that turned anti foreign mining company.
I cant see the Australian government going the same way.
I've dropped the disapointment of the old ECR and treated the new BOD as a new company as they have literally completely rebuilt the licensing and strategy (but kept the £32m tax credit)

The new BOD has obtained licenses in one of the best Oz gold mining hotspot areas and we know that their are multiple deal offers on the table.

You are correct to be wary of Clayson and his colleagues....if they were still running ECR I would not touch it......but that old company & BOD is long gone.

Monkey, If ECR have not much to offer has come they have had 5 to 7 offers of deals in the last 2 weeks (in recent interview)?
I was just giving a general viewpoint in reply to question.
I am not saying that we would achieve GGPs mcap, but tried to give some context on the current low mcap and the potential uplift.
At £177m mcap the ECR would have an SP of around 38p....I dont think we will see that...lol

Of course if you have no interest in investing in ECR then I wish you good luck elsewhere.

I'm not going to put a number on it as I will only be able to have an expectation once we have the detail of any deals.
I have target points at which I will topslice my current holding.
All I will say is that our current mcap is currently under £4m and I would expect any JV , especially if will a large company such as Kirkland, to increase this considerably.
If you look at GGP , which off the top of my head (I may be incorrect) has a mcap of £150m+ ...then if we manage to achieve say only an eigth of that ...well you can do the maths.

Craig Brown stated a month or so ago that if we were on the Oz exchange then the current SP would be 3 or 4 times the current value...and that's before realising any deals.

So I will let you do your own research and do your own calculations....all I will say is that I will personally be very disappointed if 2p is our high....but time will tell

I think we will get a cash generating deal ...SP rises.
Then a JV deal which may require some additional fund raising at which point the JV effect on the mcap will far outweigh the dilution.
Being very conservative and the SP is 2p at that point and we have 20% dilution there will still be double our current SP.
Personally I think a disposal followed by a JV will lift this higher (possibly GGP territory) so , as he alludes to in the interview, the impact on dilution will be minimised by announcing the deals first .

You must be the only person on the board who thinks that the SLM disposal was a bad thing.
I agree that Win' should be sold off as we have a number of potentially world class licenses which we should focus on.

BTB, Yes, He obviously thinks that we have some fantastic assets.
He is taking about announcing corporate DEALS in the near future.
And in the first interview last week he was almost hyperactive as he was so excited when asked about deals.

I am topping up as and when I can (small £300 top up this morning) and I am higher that my usual % limit in a single share here, but simple cannot find a reason not to be confident in ECR.

I'm not usually good at this , but I sense a little positivity ;-)

To be honest Dill , I'd refer 6% a day for 4 days rather than a 25% P&D run negating any good news.
The SP over the coming days will be a forerunner to any deal announcement which will could seriously rebase the SP.
I'm looking at the mid-term picture of where the deals (multiple) will take this and am not stressing about daily fluctuations.
It would be nice to be moving from a higher base once news comes, but with a Mcap under £4m any deal could be truly transformational.

5-7 deals offered in the last two weeks (and they keep coming back) , Liongold flying in for talks with ECR last week.
