That's the hope , and would be a massive game changer.
ECR mcap is only £3.8m at the moment so there is plenty of scope for multi-bag increases here....but not getting ahead of myself as we need a deal done first.

I think we may get a disposal/sale notice for a license or two first before any potential JV deal.
Liongold were talking to Craig a week or two ago, so best case scenario would be a bit of a bidding war.....but either way it certainly looks like ECR are in a fantastic negotiating position.
And with the£32m tax credits in our pocket as well as great licenses we must look good to potential suitors.

PDAC is in Toronto from 1-4 March.
ECR will be meeting a couple of parties their for further deal discussions.( as stated in jnterview)
We know from the podcast that those parties have already been 'on site' in Oz and that talks have been ongoing so I would not be surprised to see an RNS shortly aferwards with at least one deal done.
My money is on a sale of at least one of the licenses, followed by farm in confirmation a week or two later (my hinch)

Worth watching the interview again as Craig Brown is no poker player and there are tell tell eyebrow twitches on key deal questions.

F2S, As we are in negotiations the directors will not be able to trade shares due to them having privileged information.
I dont think that we will see a placing either as we are still funded until I believe the middle of the year.

Dill , I share frustrations from the old board days , Itagon and SLM were absolute farces and the old BOD were less than useless.
The new BOD have built a good portfolio of licences and have done the groundwork required to get us in a position to negotiate possible deals and have a decent hand to play in those negotiations.
ECR could very easily have gone to the wall a couple of years ago so I think credit has to be given to Craig Brown and co. In rebuilding and refocusing the company.
Has it been frustrating? -yes, Did a lot of people get burned by the old BOD?- yes (I was lucky to top slice on my original holding during the 'Itagon bubble' but my remaining holding took an absolute battering).
ECR is a new beast and having topped up repeatedly in the drops over the past few months I am confident that ECR will make a (or some) deal(s) which will be confirmed over the coming weeks and will be truly transformational.

Why do you keep a holding in ECR when you have no faith in the company and board?
If I was that doubting I would sell up and move on...life would be less stressful

You are right....What sort of sham company is this that they cannot control when another party releases an interview that they recorded today.
Don't Proactive Investors know who they are dealing with???? (I feel a Boris/BBC type boycott is in order for the future..that'll teach 'em).

If you want to scrutinise the statement , it says they will be 'heading to' the studio on Tuesday.
Given the travel time from Oz they should therefore arrive at the studio on Wednesday.
Therefore we should expect the update tomorrow.

Hi Dill,
I think the Proactive Investment show will just be a re-confirmation of what we already know.
ECR are regulars at this event and it's usually a good PowerPoint of where we are.
They may hint at how the discussions with third parties have gone.
It will be interesting to see if Liongold are mentioned by name.
If they are it may be an indication that there is more happening on that front.

So not expecting much out of this although hopefully a bit of activity if Craig has enthused the audience.

Let's just hope that he is available in the UK as he has been meeting lawyers, brokers etc with a view to progressing a deal..but that's pure speculation.

Until the next RNS I can see this bouncing between 0.8-1.2 depending on speculation, but dont see this dropping as the odds of ECR striking a game changing deal are better than that have been.

If there is not an RNS then all that can say is they are in discussions but give no details.

We dont know if that offer came from a major listed company that could help drive ECR forward or a small one looking to move up the ladder , and what terms were offered.
Just because an offer is made it does not mean it should be accepted.
It could be a stroke of genius to have declined that if we are now receiving better offers on the same assets and with the gold price rising the appetite for deals is growing.
With multiple parties requesting meeting it seems as if ECR may have the whip hand in negotiations.
All looking good IMHO.
Time will tell.

I have to admit I am actually not too bothered what the SP does over the next week or two.
As I said yesterday a nice 5-10% fluctuation on a daily basis would be good as it is then more likely to be investors rather than the day trading herd and bodes better for when news does come.
We saw this weeks RNS that good news can lead to a disappointing rise which does not reflect it. The herd arrives , gets the 25% rise, bales and then the herd panics and we end up near where we started.

I am more focused on what the deal will be, and with whome (liongold are not the only party we have been talking to) and then where the SP will land post deal.
Setting targets at the moment is a bit pointless as no-one knows what any deal will involve...let's hope it's an absolute game changer

It's down because I would suspect that a decent number of people buying in yesterday had done f all research and just saw 'Deal'.
It didn't happen on the same day so they lose patience and move on..such is the way of AIM.

In the mid/long term the SP will rise as we move towards a possible deal , but short term the herd mentality rules.

The signs are good and with multiple parties making contact we have a strong negotiating position.
