AG, A while until we see another fundraise IMHO (end of year/start of next at the earliest and only if everything falls in to place)
If ECR is about to go in to production then I think 10p will be well short of the mark as the Mcap will be much higher and the fund raise will not lead to a drop in the SP at that point as going from prospecting to producer is an immense step in the lifecycle of a mining company.

Queensland licenses are 900km2 CB thinks they are worth £2m once fully granted...cost £20k
Craig sounds exceptionally excited about the prospects.

Also we have £5.6m in the bank....more that the £5m we thought.
Prospective CresWick JV partners have contacted ECR again this week and Craig has said the price has gone up as we are drilling it out.

Positives are flowing @ ECR.

One of the licenses had 4 applicants...I'm guessing that's the one not yet resolved.
Fantastic news that the other 7 which are extensions of Baillieston & CresWick have been granted....We should surely get an RNS to confirm that as that significantly improves our footprint.

Hi Legal, Cb said he wanted to prove up one or two resources this year so I think he will drill 3 or 4 areas and then return to the best 2 prospects to prove them up first.
I'm really looking forward to when we return to Blue Moon as i think that is the best prospect on the Baillieston license.
Having said that I think the anticline has peaked the companies interest ......next set of results should show if that is a good find.

AG, I think you are spot on with regards to Article 15.
Opens up the possibilities of 2 x JVs in the medium/longer term.
CB is playing the long game and positioning ECR very nicely.

Metalmax, I agree. Best to underpromise and overdeliver.
We also have to take some responsibility from before as we did get a little over excited with the visible gold previously.

Better for the company to keep the updates and forward looking prospects factual and then have the odd positive surprise when the results of drilling, etc are announced.
I think they are learning fast.
The new updates on twitter are much better...I hope the Monday drilling update is a regular feature.

js, Well they have completed the first hole so I would think the cores are at the lab being tested...depends on how long the queue is at the lab (we know that Victoria is a hotbed at the moment so likely to be a few weeks). The Baillieston additional holes will also be at the lab and I think we are likely to see those results sooner.
With regards to licenses it could be any time...if you scroll down the BB you will see that the Victorian government has significantly increased the funding to the department that deals with licenses, so we should see some faster decision making.
As for exact timelines...no one knows, they will just appear one day

All the holes will be reasonably shallow so any half decent grades will be very well received as extraction costs would be lower.

Wow, That twitter update was surprising......
...We have not even received confirmation of when they were going to start drilling at Creswick , and they have already completed hole 1 and have commenced hole 2.

That's excellent news (and hopefully the 'Monday drilling update' will become a regular thing)

I see that they have appointed Irene Hays (of Hays travel) as the grandmother of Iona.
Possibly the most cynical financially motivated appointment ever .

i agree Kenswayken on the ceremony & the president....there are alot of new ships and Iona's greenhouse/convertable swimming pool does not make it stand out from the crowd (although they will get a lot of bookings from Hays :-)

We know that Craig is not keen on having a JV on both Bailieston and CresWick as this would trigger AIM article 15 (until we get more licences this would be the case).
I think that initially CBs plan was to get a JV at Creswick and then drill and progress Baillieston ourselves and that's why we started at Baillieston with the hope the JV partner would progress CresWick..
We have had previous approaches on Baillieston JV and we know in an interview earlier this year that another interested party made enquiries about the possibility again.
With the JV at CresWick having stalled I believe that CB wanted to go back and prove that the resource at CresWick was along the length of the DMS (thus the 2.5km gap between the current drilling site and original one) which would put us in an excellent negotiation position, may be a condition of the license renewal and also re-engage the potential JV partner....I believe due to only 300m of the 7km being drilled, the risk for the JV partner was too great (even with the excellent technical DD)and we need to prove it up further.

By proving up CresWick further it gives more options which could be any of the following:

* Negotiate a JV on Baillieston and progress the proving up of CresWick ourselves with a view to a CresWick JV further down the line when we have more licenses and won't trigger article 15.
*Reduce the risk of the potential JV partner at CresWick enabling a deal to get over the line...and potentially at better terms.
*Fulfil the license renewal criteria which could be the main condition of a current CresWick JV offer (with potentially the allocation of the DMS extension licenses being another factor).
*Prove the anticline @ Baillieston which enables our Chinese partners to support us in progressing a low cost high yield mine (results dependent of course).

Of course there are many other possibilities, but drilling at both sites does give the company options.

Definitely CresWick, That'll me the absolute game changer if/when we agree a JV on that.
And a potential multi-million oz resource if results continue as they were for the first 300m drilling.
A bit of a way to go until we can be confident in the full value of CresWick though.

That 7 share trade was obviously not a MM signal to drop the price (yeah right!)

Angoose, this is going to trade in a range until there are further drilling results (which will shift it either way depending on how good they are), anticipation of results (upward push), apathy/ boredom (slow downward trend) or new license or project announcements (upwards push).

just a case of waiting and being patient, Until the next news/update it's likely to be lower trade numbers daily and a slow drift up and down.

Still chuckling at the Alan Green Kirkland link which is very tenuous at best (unless he has some inside info).
With two drills running and the anticline and CresWick new target underway then the next move should be (hopefully) worth waiting for.

If you are looking to JV in to Creswick and 7km of the DMS you would surely want more than 300m of the resource proven up, even with excellent technical DD .....the second drill site 2.5km down the DMS makes perfect sense.
