My guess is they (NewCo) will still sell Zama, the mexicans cannot be trusted long term and too much internal curruption.
Reason says that they will go for SL (hard to sell, FEED worked up and payed for, existing and close realationship with HM GOV and UK OnG, funders to potentially take it all the way, my bet is Navitas are out unless they substantial US backers: As we know the more indebted the Argies get the more they jump up and down about "their" Malvinas.....and their economy is in dire straights.
I also belive that news on what happens with SL will be quick WHEN/IF it does happen, the reasoning is that you would want to move to sanction and development asap and not give the Argies room to ramp up the rhetoric both at home and internationally.
HM Gov FULL and unconditional support for the project is totally essential. What is BoJo/Tory appetite for potential escalation, especially with the recent annoncement regarding future hydrocarbon funding and the real clean energy pressure?
Will SL be just a bit too hot to handle? One thing that is sure IF (big IF) Navitas are allowed to sign after the merger, SL is a done deal. IMO.
