Production was 60.9k barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) in line with expectations.

Despite a fall in actual volumes sold from 65.8k boepd to 53.5k, a 43% increase in average sales price to $86.5 per barrel contributed to a 16% increase in revenues to $846m.

Meanwhile the average underlying cost to extract each barrel was barely moved at $13, helping the company to nearly treble post-tax profits to $264m.

Looks good to me. They also appear to still have the Capricorn BOD backing enough to issue more info later.

Hopefully will be strong to help both Tullow and Capricorn share prices. Fingers crossed results are good with no sudden negative surprises.

Should be good but for today it is a shame the US Inflation data showed a modest increase with a .75% rate increase booked in by the NYSE it seems where a reversal early morning took place in commodity prices on the expectation of a USD increase. For our results however hopefully we will respond positively tomorrow for both Tullow and politically for Capricorn as well. I see it that if the results are terrible that will not be good for either Company, but if good this will help both Companies share prices. If there is any other announcement of a stalking horse for both Tullow and Capricorn that also would not surprise me. Perhaps tomorrow will be positive for shareholders - fingers crosses and GLA.

Since then we have had a hot summer so perhaps that's partly the reason for some pubs running dry? last statement from Marstons included "Encouragingly, total retail sales in the Group’s managed and franchise pubs returned to FY2019
levels in the period. Drinks sales have continued to outperform food sales, once again reinforcing
the steadfast trading resilience of Marston’s predominantly community pub estate. " Could be a good time to buy as reported.

If figs down USD may fall and Oil prices will rise on dollar falls. If up expect a hawkish Fed very soon with higher rates than anticipated and a stronger dollar. A real 50/50. However for Tullow with the Oil price having been high for so long does anyone really believe the results will be anything other than really good? especially as we have said they will want to encourage the take over of Capricorn their bankers will call upon the results to be good. IMHO.

Agreed Bailiff with you -if the US Inflation figs are favourable (i.e. Lower than forecast/projected) then there is more likelihood for a Dovish as opposed to Hawkish Fed and the Dollar may fall slightly and then the commodities will respond positively for those such as Oil's rated in US Dollars where the commodity price appears to become cheaper. We look forward to a very interesting couple of days!

Would suspect Tullow whose results are due in 2 days time will be good to encourage Capricorn shareholders to agree to the take over proposal offered, however we can also expect for the interests of Capricorn shareholders detail as to the identity of the other parties interested in the Company where management referred to new interested parties coming forward, and so in two days time Tullow results could make life far more interesting for both Companies! I.M.H.O.

As we are now in a period of sustained raised Oil prices (since July) I would suspect to impress Capricorn shareholders we will see better results even than July. 0nly 2 days to go now but I would suspect we will get a boost very soon. IMHO.

All meant in good taste! Suggest Elizabet ( a mature long lasting beer that was silently powerful) and King Charles ( a new found organic beer that has risen to fame) which hopefully will be with us for some time.

Govt, encouragement to Oil/Gas producers for new discoveries will help both the likes of Tullow and Capricorn lets face it. There are far worse sectors to be invested in. Results here very soon I expect to be better than they had forecast now -perhaps less hedge required in the future to be able to run some more net exposure with govt. support?

Suppose now we move on and look forward to the Liz -vat cut too? So hopefully all will help longer term if not for the immediate future where people have more money in their winter pockets to buy extra pints of winter warmer!

My opinion!

My feeling is we know at a lower avge price Tullow have free cash to be released to shareholders which is likely to have increased recently due to the higher avge barrel cost and profit on production. However if a third party/parties are interested in buying up Capricorn as disclosed yesterday, could those third parties lodge a bid for both Companies who as I have said before are relatively small boys compared to the big boys? Perhaps we will know more very soon when Tullow announce their results?

Must make us a strong buy in anticipation for the interests that the other parties are after!

Likely to rise and we also know "Capricorn" now have other interests in offers for this company and I would suggest as we do not know the identity yet of those of interests whilst they conduct their own due diligence the price of Capricorn is likely to rise as per the point raised on the HL web put on by Palliser today!
So I see why we are higher but one must expect an additional premium and an increase in this price once the other parties are declared. The BOD have already said they are now considering other option too as they have been contacted by other interested partied. Good news therefore for Capricorn shareholders. IMHO.

Tullow deal should be off which significantly undervalues the firm :-
"Based on our own in-depth analysis and with the benefit of extensive third-party input, we strongly believe that Capricorn can realise value of at least 330 pence per share, representing a 50% upside to the current share price and a 67% upside to the terms of the proposed merger," it said. They will no doubt be adding then?

Looks like experts are now saying today that the EU will run out of gas/oil this winter. Demand has increased on world markets since the rusky's tap was stopped from leaking into the EU!?
Also Tullow results are due out soon and some will be building their holdings where it is expected they will be more now than prev. forecast (considering the time we have been in the 90-100usd a Barrel range). Capricorn recorded sales on avge 110 a barrel - so results here will be better than expected. IMHO.

Looks like the Yankies see us as a buy? Perhaps we will respond back to positivity very soon, or they will buy some more I am sure.
However Oil comps are down today relating to the Price, but as businesses come back (especially China) even Liz Trust cannot keep the Brent Crude price below USD100 a barrel for long. How Capricorn sold at an avge of Usd111 a barrel amazes me they must be producing some quality stuff.
With other suitors apart from Tullow also interested perhaps we will see a fight going on for the ownership of the Company as the American interest was a surprise, but supposed we do have untapped real potential here in Mexico.

Is the bit than interests me from who? The major players with excess funds. Whilst sale receipts are up as expected pre-tax expenses mean no tax to pay too? Looks to me as if this excitement is being played down and more money is being spent in advance to the new discoveries which they have mentioned by name but not how much they will produce?
