Bebold - good idea I have been doing the same. Have a larger number now than I did have. The trade has been coming back and with less going abroad likely to continue to show increasing sales over previous numbers. What with post pandemic sports in full swing with Football supporters in our pubs, as well as Rugby fans. The World post pandemic is now a different place and the entertainment stocks show a great opportunity after being hit so low. Marston will benefit from increasing home sales too and economy of scale with the Carlsberg partnership and no problems dealing in the EU. The brains pubs have been a bonus and a useful addition to give a wider audience across the UK. I understand sales are also increasing Worldwide with a growing taste for good quality beer. I see Brewdog also moving into the China market with an announcement today.
Shame the same £200 voucher hunters just keep their boring negativity going every time they enter their words despite no one listening to them as their always has the same drone lacking in substance or fact! GLA.

However the Marston/Carlsberg brewing partnership has finally given in and from 22nd prices for Beer will be increasing between 11-12%. This is following the likes of Wetherspoons and ors who have already raised. Demand must still be high to do this but profit margins will now increase to boost sales numbers where the last statement from the CEO stated the aim to get sales over £1Billion in a year. So any business loans fall in significance to sales (which are fixed at low rates anyway). Please do not listen to shorts who are only ever negative to feed their own belly's!

RR will see the benefits of the use of the 350 where RR have the bulk of the Order but will see the benefits for all of the engines going forward on servicing in their network of say 2,000 service centres all around the World for say the next 10 years! I see this as the main beneficiary. I was surprised with the recent flight no's being released Heathrow that RR did not get an uptick then to be honest. GLA -It appears the demand is increasing post pandemic for Aviation flight once again.

As the new Boss stands in his Yellow wellies thinking he was still on the Helicopter pad of a North Sea Oil rig.
He has no idea of how well thought of the engines are and the reputation of the staff and Company World Wide. We are not just talking about Derby but the whole World of service stations and net works this Company has and for the Aviation sector alone they are the World Leaders. i.e. Not many RR engines fail in flight which is why they are bought!

Fixed trading up 65% -more money being set aside for customers bad debt (reduces profit and tax's from a higher than expected level) costs higher not unexpected with branches closing and staff working from home while they still need to maintain City offices? But still made 7 billion profit and shares down 10% - looks like an opportunity to me?
No surprises here for me the underlying business (despite the Banks best attempts to reduce the o/r profit) looks good. Margins are growing too which will also help the banks profits going forward and for which they did appear to comment. DYOR and GLA. IMHO.

Yes RR will benefit tremendously from both the Boeing and Airbus order (as they have partnerships with most big engine manufacturers in the World) the biggest gain will be long term servicing where 75% of the Worlds aircraft are all looked after by the RR service centres around the World. They are No1 in this dept. After working for 37 year in the Aviation Insurance market I can tell you they are the best! So benefits comes from sales yes but also servicing whether they make the engine entirely themselves or by another manufacturer! GLA.

Broker ratings appear to be in positive mode for Hoch. Barenberg were suggesting a target of £1 a share (end of Jan) maybe they can see inflation easing and lower rates with return to growth? Or mark up Silver /Gold as a hedge against it, which will help the miners?

Or wonder if Barrick are on the look out? To try to contain their leadership status?

Might have something to do with new discoveries and resource with new licenses to extract, plus the minutes of the Fed to be issued later might indicate a dovish outlook if fossil fuel prices are under control leading to lower longer term inflation and reduced longer term interest rates with Bond sales and increased precious metal ETF's? Only a thought?

Looks like the Esken comp. web has been updated and their Aviation sector services group used "Star" is being used at other airports too including Stansted, Manchester, etc,etc. The web and Company staff resources is starting to look very modern and switched on. Worth a read as this might explain why the share price is starting to gain sentiment. I have a feeling this price will be moving up for some time yet as it makes the other airports look out dated looks like S/end airport has a lot to offer now with modern infrastructure !

Sorry if I got the early rise on any negativity and it really hurts me to say - but I also keep an eye on the Far East markets -who by the way also are starting to enjoy British Brewed Ale over their own, which is not surprising considering the Pedigree we have here, and we should now see increased sales as a result of them reducing restrictions post pandemic. The 3 month chart supports my enthusiasm. I am glad I got through eventually although some do take longer to respond but fortunately the Market is already onto this now.

Fairtrader-THANKS but allow your mouse to scroll up a little and you will see a very steep climb for the past 3 months share price. Hopefully you have been building like I and no doubt other have been doing for sometime. DYOR.
Also have another look at the recent Whitbread results and how there expansion has gone European into the largest European Economy? Erh Now Marstons have a joint interest with a European Beer Company too don't they? Can you see a trend here that expansion is not all about the UK distribution? Whereas Fullers, M&B and Ors are stuck at the Signals!

The AGM today & Board armed with the results have helped. If one looks now at Morning Star now one can see the growing list of major shareholders, and many are fund/pension managers who can add very easily which could tell us all something! If anyone had bought yesterday they would have made 6% today, but I also expect the price to follow the trend line for the past 3 months, which is a steady increase and return to favour. (especially over the more City and Town related competition) which are affected by travel/rail strikes) as Marston's concentrate on the local community they now have an advantage and they know it!

Marston's well done! Seems like we were right to suggest an upward trend line will now continue past the AGM and based on the presentation and results issued today.
Advantages over competitors in the current climate helps with Marston's concentration on community pubs is now working better than expected with the underlying build up in sales mentioned.
Marston looking like it is being run very effectively now with a switched on B.O.D. I am sure the growth fund managers will see this too.

Last chance to buy or sell (if anyone really wants to) before the AGM - I cannot see them being in the same position as Fullers results today as Marston operate mostly local community pubs which if anything have actually benefitted from the train strikes with most simply walking down the pub rather than being in the City establishments such as where Fullers work! Time will tell but I am looking for sales now exceeding pre-pandemic levels!

Have a feeling the shareholders might be pleased with the recovery in the entertainment sector and particularly Marston After recent releases from the BOD leading up to Christmas and following World Cup sales. Certainly most locals around here are getting busier.
There are a number of fund managers with 5% shares now so it will be interesting to see if they start increasing their shares after the AGM? Not long to go fingers crossed for a positive reaction.

What we need is a Esken market statement as we know they were also looking and talking to other Airlines as well as Easyjet who have seen the Spanish routes working well to expand.
Certainly the news in the press and media is very positive but what we now need is an Esken statement to help guide the shareholders with a future projection which must be more positive now - surely as the travel industry sees a surge in bookings?

Interesting on BBC news East they said that Southend A/port that had lost 90% of its flights following Covid is likely now to see a return with not only the Amsterdam Flight being re-started from May but also Easy jet were thinking and discussing even having their base there? Not sure what they meant by base i.e. for just the relative small number of current flights announced or to really open Southend up? Looks like times are on course for the better and I am not surprised by this with the problems the other big free airports are producing. Good luck to Southend they have held out in there and could/should now start to see some real benefits!

Results for last trading year I can see are now out on their home web. We await the recent trading updates in a few days where it is expected that sales will now be over 2019 pre-pandemic levels.
