Iquitos takes some; they also have a large storage facility (afaik) but not sure if Iquitos can handle the heavy oil from Petrotal (or how much of it, rather). Cheap, yes, risky, yes. Reward / Risk - both high. Keep that in mind.

They need to get rid of debt and (as we all know) the oil business in Peru is stop and go. So.... get rid of debt, if and when SP is high enough the exorbitant amount of warrants should be cashed in. THAT cash can be used for drilling and increasing growth. 107.000.000 warrants - no more dilution needed. @ 0,28 CAD we'll have 30 mil cad / 22,5 mil USD for drilling.

So: No more dilution thanks. It's time for the major shareholders to step up and give something back to the retail investors with the huge amount of free warrants they received. #ptal also paid dividend last year... not the smartest decision.

Cascadura Deep is in Q4 as well (I think)? If "someone" wanted to buy TXP I'd say they should have done so by now. What makes sense to me is that a major would be more interested in seeing the whole field (i.e. including Royston) and coming in with force then, setting up a rapid extraction programme and probably counting on P2/P3 upgrades as wells are drilled.
All wishful thinking; I'm not selling below 3 in a takeover ;) And hoping for more.

Dana - With a hit at Chinook, better tax environment and a good gas agreement, Coho online in Q4 and Cascadura deep drilled in Q4 (and no need for more loans) I honestly can't see management/board selling at this point. With a hit in either Cas Deep or chinook we're surely looking at 3 CAD/1,8 CAD - if both hits (or Cas Deep turns out to be a massive oil monster) we're looking at much more. And Royston probably has the greatest potential - so selling before that gem is drilled would require a tasty exorbitant premium for shareholders to accept an offer.

I hope "no blowout" is a neutral sign - based on earlier experience I'd assume they've got some serious blow out prevention in place :)

Looks like a permanent improvement to the stability in the region. The government is under more pressure now financially and need the oil income. And the local support from the government has been less than mediocre so far (and with funding disappearing into the wrong pockets).

I'd rather invest directly in TXP. On similar Scandinavian BB NE isn't exactly praised for their management. Track record is really not impressive and they've changed fundamental strategy several times.

I guess that makes him more than 50% sure Chinook will hit "something" - though I think that's the hit probability he has mentioned (?) - most likely based on the old hits.
Somewhat unrelated: what are the "guesstimates" for net profit from Cascadura per quarter once it's up and running?

So... gas is much cheaper than oil (considering the energy content), but gas production costs @ cascadura are probably also very cheap. Are there any "rules of thumb" when it comes to comparing production costs for one brl of oil and the equivalent in gas? Gas is 27% in value/sales price, but are costs equally low?

If you look at where the big SP gains have been, they have not really been closely related to TXP RNS.
I admit to have FOMO myself. But arguing from the charts & RNS is hard - do you guys think positive news will lead to a big jump to e.g. 90p in one day? I'm not sure that's what TXP history is telling us and I'd imaging a good portion of the 50/50% of a find is included in the SP already. So basically the upside from a hit is smaller than the downside from a miss. With a 50/50 shot that would make waiting with cash in hand the better option. Buy the results, not the rumour?

They need a high OP to be able to meet their own budget demands. But they have oil enough for 70+ years. And oil demand (and price) will most likely be destroyed in 10 - 15 years.
They're probably considering to sell as much as possible even at lower rates the next decade. I'm pretty sure that we haven't seen the last oil price meltdown. Agreeing on how to divide a shrinking cake just isn't easy.

Probably not, impatient investors might swingtrade the next weeks until results are imminent. I don't expect it to go much lower the next weeks (maybe 67 on a weak day). I don't have the balls to swingtrade this myself, just imagine the horror if they hit another massive gasfield early :D

Market cap is 90 m GBp ~ 120 M USD. In a perfect quarter, they should netback > 20 m USD @ 45$/bbl. In one Quarter. Food for thought.
