Nothing wrong in stating that production remains steady and restricted @ 60 mmcf and that the wells behave as predicted. What's produced in September will end up in Q3 ER, so I can't really see why that would be misleading.

3 months of cashflow at Cascadura easily pays for the 2 next wells, so they can be drilled back to back with just one months headstart (i.e with cash received October 25th ff). So I hope they'll commit to the costs (2 wells) around that time and get to it, hopefully with spud in November (or January if they want to make people disappointed, myself included). #PTAL does the same thing btw. Takes 5-6 weeks of "guessing and wild goose hunts" out of the market.

IMHO it's hard to tell the direction and when the sentiment will shift. We know it will, at some point. Definitely before x-mas (DYOR etc.). Right now the market cap is around 165 million USD. That's "going private" in 33 months or a P/E of 2,75. That's ONLY based on 60 mmcf @ cascadura. 0, zilch, nothing, nada for anything else. While SP can live a life of its own, like the infamous dog on a leash, there's a restrainment somewhere. And around here IMO.

I'm in up to my neck (and a bit), but would consider selling other stocks and further improve my holding, should we really go to 48p. But I don't think the market is that crazy! 48p and 90 mmcf around the corner is just too silly.

What I really would like, is a simple RNS with Q3 production & cash update (e.g. Valeura gave one today).

LV1991 - I hope we'll double the next 6 months; that means 100% in three years. I'll take that for any share in my portfolio for the next 3 years. But you're right - it's been a tough journey. But eventually money in the bank will change the SP.

We've had some bad luck; mostly re. Corona, but also some questionable management decisions. But it's hopefully in the past. And apart from the angry old British men, the market usually is quite forgiving once it sees a few good ER's in a row. That takes us to May I guess. Again: I'm not selling; you might wanna try swingtrading THE SHARE; timing etc. but in general you'll be better of hanging on to the COMPANY instead.

Why the obsession with reverse split? #PTAL has stated that they do not want uplisting.

And share splits doesn't increase your ownership and hence do not make you richer.

Re. iv: I have #PTAL at two brokers, one of them SaxoBank. They're withholding 25% instead of 15%. So I have to apply for a refund of the 10%. My life is simply too short for that, and since it was a small part of my total #PTAL holding but an account I can't move (without a big loss) I simply sold them and bought #TXP instead. Moving broker is an option; if you can pay to move the portfolio (I couldn't) I'd certainly do it.

(Not that I care much about SP as a long term holder, but it would be nice with less discrepancy between SP and EV).

Since the day before reverse split announcement May 2nd, GTE is down around 17% compared to PTAL.

May 1: PTALF 0.58

Sept 29: 0.57 + 0.04 divs.

IMHO no reason to be obsessed with reverse splits. Doesn't make anyone own more/get richer. Share buy backs will.

They're not aiming for uplisting anyways. Too costly, simply not worth it.

They need a lot of water to get back just to low levels. Tefé is west of Manaus, i.e. on the export route to Brazil.

This years El Nino really is a beast. Going to take a lot of rain to get back to normal. Thankfully the wet season should start in some weeks. We should get an update in two weeks time re. Q3 - I hope they can see things returning to normal by then.

Look at VLE insider buys. That's instills confidence at a whole other level. Hopefully TXP managers and especially Board is inspired by this.

You don't get to own more from a reverse split. Or a split for that matter. Same with warrants and PSU's that are linked to the nominal value of the share.

Share buybacks does that for you (it does also increase value of warrants/PSUs though).

Sampo (also owns Hastings in UK) went from owning 10% in TopDanmark to >50% just from buybacks. Share 20 X'd in 15 years or something. And that's in good old boring insurance, and a company that was never no where as undervalued as #PTAL is.

Urch has completely fecked up with regards to hedging oil prices etc. when the company was vulnerable.

Alexander Stahel was on the board at that time and actually commented on this (the failure to hedge and the warnings he had given).

So I'm not sure what your point is, Rylidan. It's all public if you care to look or have a memory long enough.

Without that failure and the generous warrants and the generous placing to fix that failure, we would not have 917 million shares but 650 million (or thereabouts). PetroPeru payment terms (not FOB but years and years of settlement) would also be his responsibility.

Try convincing me Urch is worth his salt... that's not a possible mission.

Dunderhead - I'm pretty sure they've planned a lot; possibly also different scenarios. They should always plan - just to get the flexibility and agility that gives. I think Roosevelt said that plans are nothing, planning everything. So when something goes better or worse than expected they should just open the drawer with the corresponding plan. What to do if the next Cascadura well has no hint of HC in the wireline logs - test or drill the second back to back etc.

They reached 60 mmcf less (!) than two weeks ago. I can't really blame them for wanting to make sure the wells have cleaned up just fine and that 60 mmcf is sustainable before they go ahead and make plans and book resources (aka costs) prematurely. I think we all expect production to just go up from here and personally I'd be happy if they just maxed out (90 mmcf or more) the production ASAP. However I don't want them to take any chances right now.

But having all those plans in the drawer and telling the public about it in details is just 2 different things. I understand why they dont want to go on record with plans that require perfect cashflow and payments just yet. No need to risk over promising (again) when they're finally (!) in a position of strength were they can build trust by just promising what they can deliver. This will IMHO turn sentiment. Could take longer (5-6 months?) than flashing aggressive plans. But I'm not in a hurry getting paid - as long as we see some yield late 2025 ;)

I don't really know Helium one. Not invested in it. Just saw you had most posts there. So I guess you had actually seen it before. What about Premier African Minerals. That's number 2 on your list.

What's their 2024 Capex?

Pleb: Sure you can find companies with strong current production and strong cashflow that have Capex outlined for the next n years. Like PTAL. Or any midcap company.

Just name me a few exploration companies that had low income first half of 2023 - in this space. What are their timelines and capex for the next years?
