LSE03 ref 15.43 post an interesting development. I do not see them using just one shipbuilder to build all those vessels as it would take decades to do. A J/V with HARL and Artemis Technologies may be able to build some of these. If I recall correctly Artemis has already done tests on a vessel similar to a SOV and the test was from one of HARLs berth at Belfast.

Personally I think the MoD eeds to look at streamlining the procurement process.

As an aside in the case of Interactive Investor I do not think that a TR1 was required as they were taken over by Abrdn PLC so the figure for Abrdn would probaly include Interactive Investor.

On looking more closely at the list I see that Killik have bought back in and now hold just over 5% which is close to what they held last year before selling off most of their holding if memory serves me right.

Si_Derman ref 11.22 post the Songa Crystal is an Oil Products Tanker so I would have thought that repairs and maintenance would be more complicated than a fishing vessel. Also in relation to an Oil Products Tanker there is ensuring there is no contamination during the work. The next Oil Products Tanker is currently at GA which I presume is General Anchor and due in on Wednesday.

Kaeren ref 11.07 post In the back of my mind I have a vague recollection of JW at one of the events saying almost under his breath something about another large vessel comming in January. This is why I thought there might be two FPSOs coming to Belfast. So HARL probably knew since sometime towards the end of last year that the Islander was coming in. Also when booking in the Islander they must have known why it is coming in. How else are they to know if they could handle the work. I accept that once in the drydock and can do an inspection additional work might be found. However, this does not stop a brief explanation of what the expected works are going to be.

Kaeren ref 10.43 post this is the kind of post that should have been made for the Islander. It does not require us to try and work out what is being done. Also anyone who knew what type of vessel the Songa Crystal is would know how involved the job is.

I note that this is the second time that an old story about a contract in relation to wind turbines has resurfaced in a story with a current date. Is someone trying to highlight HARL's institutional experience of this type of work by former incarnations? I note that in this case the FPSO might be coming up for a major refurbishment after ten years in operation.

Si_Derman ref 09.41 post the Belfast Harbour website is only showing the Songar Crystal leaving on Wednesday from BDD. That said that information is only good for now and could change at anytime. I believe the information on the website is based on information given to harbour operations so HARL can control information on dockings.

LSE03 ref 16.51 post thanks for this it seems to indicate that the islanderis in for a major refurbishment. If that is the case then hARL would seem to be either the main contractor or providing the facilities for the refurbishment. As JW has been sayin about Belfast being a centre of excellence for cruise refits then I owuld lean towards the former as it would need to be able to show hat it has done a major refit.

Also it would beg the question why there has been no RNS as if either of the two cases above is accurate then I would expect the revenue of this to be high enough to warrant an RNS.

Si_Derman ref 11.48 post I see we are not the only country with idiotic politicians. If they do not have the docking facilities to do the drydock how can they split the work to do some in Canada.

I am not sure how relevant it is but BBD has been moved so is now at OQ. Although this can changed it iscurrently showing as remaining there for all of the year.
