Si_Derman ref 09.08 post I agree I do not think it has been busier than this since Q4 2021 I think it was when we had 8 vessels in at the same time. I wonder what is planned for H2 which is normally the period when HARL makes the most income.
This article provides information on amongst other things revenue funding for hydrogen. On a quick scan it looks like revenue support will only be provided for production but not storage. I may have missed a reference to storage or it is in the regulations and the author of the article did not mention it.
According to the Belfast Harbour website the SeaRose is due into BBD on the morning of 4th February 2024. A cross check with Vessel Finder has her arriving on the 7th February 2024. Interestingly the SeaRose does not have an updated position. https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9274501
Broomtree ref 12.31 post The question about quartrly updates was from me and I agree the answer was a firm no. You have confused me in the rest of your post. JW has never actually said when the updates will be. There was a trading statement in November but that was not in my view the same thing. The accounts for the year ending 31 December 2023 are not due until 30 June 2024 so there is no obligation on HARL to say anything before then. That is not to say that it would not be wise to say something now in view of the November trading statement.
Si_Derman ref 12.40 I found this MoU strange as you had two copanies with an existing agreement which they added another company to. Sorry but I do not see in this instance the need. This reinforces my view that it was just a PR exercise and not necessarily by HARL.
Lottie123 ref 09.55 post I am not sure that a share buyback would help. Take a look at Lloyds it initiated a share buyback scheme but that did not lead to any appreciable increase in the share price. I do agree with you in relation to an employee share scheme.
AimMaster2018 ref 04.17 post I have previously expressed concern about the lack of apparent ROI from mHARL attending these events in the past. Perhaps with the introduction of this scheme https://www.gov.uk/guidance/shipbuilding-credit-guarantee-scheme HARL might be able to get some orders from attending these events. While attending raises HARL's profile at some stage HARL needs to recoup the cost of attending.
Si_Derman ref 18.35 post You know the harbour than me is that berth one of the ones HARL uses? If so is it being given a parking space or has HARL bought it?
Looking at the map linked in LSE03's 17.44 post see this link Https://www.vesselfinder.com/?p=GBBEL001 on Queen's Island there is a passenger ship shown as a green dot at the gan in the name Largan. Does anyone know which vessel that would be? It is not the Islander as that is the green dot by the anchor sign. I cannot see another passenger ship on the Belfast Harbour Website berthed in any of the HARL berhs.
Kaeren ref 07.54 post I was just about to post the same link. The text of the post for those not on LinkedIn is.
'It was our pleasure to host the Cenovus senior team in our Belfast delivery centre yesterday.
The dock blocks are laid and scaffold towers built ready for the arrival of FPSO Searose in early Feb. As various deliveries of materials plant and equipment flood into the yard. The fabrication halls are alive with activity underway on five separate projects.'
I note the reference to five separate projects. I wonder what they are H1 is starting to look as if it will be interesting.
