Investin - No I do not believe thatthe number of shares in issue has a bearing on the share price at present. The only time the number of shares in issue would have an affect on the share price is if the umber of shares in circulation is in sufficent to meet demand and we are in my opinion some months off that situation arising.

PAAA - I think DavePenny is referring to the fact that the majority of trades are showing as sells not buys. The fact that the share price for most of the ady has been positive is perhaps an indicator that some of these tardes are in fact buys.

I hope they managed to do some good business while they were there.

Chris - You may be right but with the current POTUS I would not be sure. Also they are going to work towards no tariffs in areas other than auto trade.

eurofox - As any placing will lead to a dillution of shares I am inclined to disagree with you. I would remind you that CF has a significant amount of shares in sirius. I do not see him diluting the value of his shareholding just to increase the number of II.

JonesRichard - Thanks for this. I think but for external factors that caused the performance of both the FTSE100 and FTSE250 the weekend press article that suggested a 5% rise in the SP would probably have been right.

thegreat8 - As sirius is the top riser on the FTSE 250 today I do not think there is much to worry about. I suspect that the only reason that it is not higher is that somebody forgot to tie Donald Trump's arms to a chair and gag him to stop him saying or writing anything that would scare the markets.

SL - I suspect that they are using the exceptional circumstances rule. This is based on the principle that a decision maker cannot fetter their discretion. Therefore to allow for wiggle room most policies allow for a departure from it in exceptional circumstances. In this case Sirius would be viewed as Sui Generis and as it is in the national interest exceptionally could be allowed.

GK can you provide a link to the post you are referring to. I do not see any reticence by HMG in providing the guarantee. From a political point of view it makes good sense as they are not being asked to provide any actual money upfront and all being well will not have to.

Fred16 - When I read that figure I was ondering here that figure came from. If most shareholders like me hold thier shares through nominees then thier names would not appear on any register. As we do not know how many shares are held by nominees and how many shareholders are represented by such nominee holdings the figure of 25000 shareholders must be suspect.

Myosotis - thanks for this. I am not sure if this is still accurate. I think that first production is now set for May 2021. Do not forget that CF has a stretch target of March 2021 for first production. I am not a mining expert but I think that this would bring all the other dates forward by about six to nine months.

Eurofox - I disagree with your assessment on how serious the accident was. A HSE investigation is a concern also the fact that he needed surgery indicates that it was not a minor accident.
