Fred16 - Sorry but I win so few arguments with women I could not resist. But seriously it does show how good the sxx share price performance was in comparison with both indices.
hottrader - If you had read my 18.22 post from Thursday I did not say that your buy suggestion which came after my 16.22 post of the day before was wrong. I said as was the fact that I had not seen it as I was out all day. As an aside I have not checked but I think my holding is still in profit and was all of last week.
copied this from the sharecast news on the mainpage On the downside, miners were the biggest drag, with Anglo, Glencore, Antofagasta, and BHP Billiton among the top fallers.
Does anyone know if sirius has had to use any of the contingency. If they can avoid using the contingency then that will reduce costs by $400,000. It would be interesting to know if the construction costs remain or if there has been a reduction in costs.
AndyG - While part of the increase in the share price may be due to the weekend press I neer assume that there is only one reason for the increase or decrease in the share price.
Kenswayken - I ma going to break my normal rule and answer your query. The simplest way is to open a Junior ISA for each of them and put the shares in it.
I always get nervous when I see a 5% jump at the start of the trading day. As far as I recall on every ocassion that we have had a large jump in the share price this has been followed by a large correction. Judging by what then follows these jumps in share price seem to be in anticipation of news. For instance we had a similar jump in price the week before the conversion RNS.
We need an update on the progress on stage 2 which says a bit more than it is progressing and that it will conclude this year. Also any news on pricing for Poly4.
RE: TIIPED BY MIDAS - MAIL ON SUNDAY24 Jun 2018 06:38
Quick-Buck - Thanks for this the most interesting thing for me was the share price graph. It shows that in seven years April 2011 - June 2018 the share price has gone up 300%. This is a good return and I am sure that there are dome onn here who have been shareholders since then and are looking at a good profit.
Myosotis - Fun which dictionary are you using. The Private Act of Parliament route could have shaved a few years off the planning process. Not sure if we would have saved much on planning and legal fees.
At least the Environment Agency were kind enough not to object whihc should speed things up. I am starting to think it may have been easier if SXX had used a private Act of Parliament to get permission to do this.
Myosotis - I note from the Order of Chief Master Marsh that the application will be heard by the Judge during Michaelmas Term so we should have the Order by the end of the year. So everything would appear to be on schedule.
tinribs - If I recall the question of the railway line has been discussed on this board. I do not know the area but as I understand it this is a single track raliway line and would not be able to take the tonnage that would be needed as well as other traffic on the line.
On the rumours about sirius being interested in Boulby they surface every couple of months and the consensus on this board is that Boulby is not something that sirius should buy.
Wychwood - Thanks for this post. The most interesting thing I noted is that it states that work on the harbour facility and the processing plant starts today. This seems to show confidence that stage 2 financing will be in place in order to complete the construction. Also if I recall the construction schedule the construction of the harbour facilities have been bought forward by about six months.
