Glendor - As i said both are normal. I would have been more surprised if they were not there.

Glendor - All of these are standard resolutions nothing to worry about. They are needed as otherwise the company could not issue new shares for any purpose without first offering the shares to existing shareholders.

Brexit - I am not sure if you posted the whole article or just a selected portion but I would observe that any information is only as good as the source material it is derived from. In this case the Motley Fool article you quote from seems to be based on a month old discreditted article in the Financial Times. May I suggest that you do a google search for news on sirius minerals then read a cross section of news from different sources. That way you can make a more informed opinion.

Oilman - You are predicting first production in 2023. What is the basis for this or is it just wild specualtion. Based on the current state of development, the current construction speed, the nature of the construction contracts and the CEO's bonuses I would predict first production in early Q1 2021. I appreciate that is two years earlier than your assumption but I have some basis for it, while you have not explained how you got to your 2023 date.

TonyF - I would observe that the obtaining of guarantees is not dependent on parliament sitting at the time. Also while parts of the government are obsessed like some people on this board with BREXIT the day to day governing still goes on so a decision on the guarantee will not be affected by any distractions. I am inclined to the view that an update on stage 2 will come this month possibly with the quarterly update at thenend of the month.

Jazzyjim. In this case the bondholders are repaid the amount of the Bond at the price they paid for them. No they do not get any shares as they did not convert the bonds to shares.

John2015 re your 16.47 post the caveat is unless POTUS says anything else over the weekend to spook the markets. If he does we will need some compensating news.

TonyF - However in the absence of either the share price will be affected by market sentiment and unfortunately POTUS opens his mouth ona trade issue and the London markets go down. In most cases like this week the SP goes down as well.

dontinvest - Thanks for this having read it I am still of the view that there is no chance that the delay in the interim results has been caused by a discussion on whether the accounts should be prepared on the going concern basis.

Dontinvest - In respect to your 00.04 post can you please point to any set of interim results whihc have had a comment from the auditors. If the auditors are not doing an audit why would any company go to the expense of asking them to do a review?

dontinvest - As the interim results are unauditted there is absolutely no chance that they would be in any argument about going concern basis with the auditors.

Since the inetrim results did not appear on 16 August as anticipated the share price has gone up. I was expecting the share price to go down as the results have not appeared. The fact that the share price has in fact gone up makes me suspect that some people know the reason why the publication of the interim results appear to have been delayed. The only explanation that I can think of is that the stage 2 financing is near to completion and an element is linked or is dependent on the share price. On every ocassion that the results have been published the share price has gone down so in those circumstances a delay of the publication of the interim results would be prudent. In any event the interim results will have to be published within the next five weeks possibly with the next update.

SDP12 - Comparingt the two would not assist as post BREXIT the relevant tariff will be the one set by HMG under the provisions of the Trade Bill currently going through Parliament. This may be higher or lower than either or both of these.

Investor1977 - You make a very valid point. I was approaching the question from the viewpoint of somebody investing at around the current price. In that case someone investing a proportion of thier ISA allowance could obtain a significant number of shares in which case the question of Income v Capital growth would become more of an issue.

ASHpot - We are due to get some fresh pricing guidance. I suspect an upward revision of the price guidance from the previous guidance of $145

If a maiden dividend is declared with the interim results at the end of the year the question arises do you invest in TAVI for capital growth in which case you would want the share price to go up. On the other hand do you invest for income growth. In the case of the latter you may want the share price to rest here for a while to allow you to increase your holding in the anticipation of higher dividends in future years.

What strategy would others be choosing?
