Unpicking the numbers17 Feb 2019 17:13
I have been trying to work out from Friday's RNS together with previous RNSs what the potential revenues might be. From Friday's RNS we know that there are advanced negotiations with six clients and there hae been strong expressions of interest from at least 12 possible customers this gives us 18 potential customers. we know from a previous RNS that one of these wants five DMG units. Assuming that the other 17 only want a single DMG unit that gives us 22 DMG units. From another RNS we know that each DMG unit will cost the customer £5m so from the sale of the 22 DMG units Powerhouse will make £110m, this assumes that the profit on the sale of each unit is 20%. In addition there will be license fees if we assume that the license fees are 20% revenues this has previously been worke dout at approximately £350,000 so from the 22 units Powerhouse will make £770000 in anual royalty fees.
These calculations come with a number of caveats:-
Firstly it is assumed that only one customer will buy more than one unit if more than one customer was to buy more than one unit then the figures would have to be adjusted accordingly.
Secondly it is assumed that the profit on the sale of each unit is 20% if it is higher then this would increase the amount of revenue from the sale of each unit.
The current market capitalisation does not seem to allow for this revenue yet which allows current shareholders to buy up shares while they are at such a discount.
