Tedious reading this constant AST and Colin bashing. Inaccurate exaggerated salary figures and insinuations. Even more so with the lack of any progress to remove the moronic postings.

We've seen the way losing get's spun as winning in the recent election. Apparently the remain vote won over the leave vote or vice versa, depending on how the statistics are massaged.

The environmental campaigners in Slovenia will only emphasise the bad points for getting their own gas out of the ground to power their country in an energy efficient way. The constant use of the word 'fracking', the constant emphasis on the bad aspects of using a fossil fuel, the ignoring of the transportation costs and energy use of bringing in fuels from far away and the constant emphasis on the disastrous pollution that is bound to occur.

They only go on about the bad points. They are deaf to good points and the essential requirement for energy. They fly around the world themselves to various self congratulatory conventions and inspect the receding glaciers in their 4 x 4's.

Sensible points in favour of local gas production are ignored or denigrated. You cant win a moral argument.

Seven months is a very long time in politics. But the situation remains the same for AST, so far.

Essentially this is stating that the delay in payment from the Cobre major client has cost SML AUD$10,000.

Let's see if the market believes.

Srry! The ultimate embarrassing sin of the wrong thread. Too many tabs open! And I mistook HC for Hans Camp. I'll slink off now.

For me HC is on the back burner for now. It's all about Cobre, Leigh Creek and Redmoor right now. For me that's loads to be getting along with.

In this case it originated from Phrontist. It doesn't make sense as a squid would always be damp. A squib, on the other hand, is an explosive device to initiate a bigger explosive device. I do hope some here aren't losing their sense of humour.

Damp squid? 'Damn squid' could be more relevant if one could swim in oil.

I have been observing the goings on in Slovenia over this for some years now. I also have some experience of dealing with the Italian system for many more years. The Slovene system of political culture is similar. They are next door to each other.

It is clear to me the Slovenes are masters of political obfuscation and delay. The word 'should' is not a word I would use when the issuing of permits is concerned. It is necessary to make the issuing of the permits politically acceptable to the Slovene government. It's a coalition and the opposition members against their PM have a strong influence on his position and need to be appeased.

I believe Colin understands all of this and is making slow progress on the influencing front. John is the oil and gas expert and is doing the maximum he can to improve the gas production. Hence the compression equipment.

We effectively started from square one again when Jure Leben left the environment department and John Buggenhagen joined the BoD. It's taken a long time and will take a little longer. Some don't see the reality of the current situation and are moving on, even at this very low SP.

The IPPC permit has been issued. They know AST don't have the finance or the gas flow to use that permit in the near future. Stimulation permits are a different matter. They would enable the gas flow to increase and then the IPPC becomes more useful.

In the past the Slovene government has not said 'no' to permits. They just haven't said anything. That has effectively been a 'no' answer. Therefore they will not decline the permits. They just won't say 'yes'.

In that event the only near term way forward for AST is the use of compression equipment. Our COO is aware of all this and is therefore organising the compression equipment.

Finger trouble. Let's try again:

There are two routes for AST to follow and they should follow both of them:

1. Installation of compressor equipment to increase production of PG10 and PG11a, and other wells if possible.
2. Initiation of legal action on the basis of Slovenia not following it's own rules for the timing and procedure of permits.

The second to be done very carefully by Slovene lawyers understanding the detrimental effects that certain actions could have for point 1..

There are two routes for AST to follow and they should follow both of them:

1.

Known gas in the ground and wells in place. It's only risky because of the politics.

Stable and solid company. There are always reasons but I always find it difficult to understand when a company is so obviously good that it's value stays low for weeks before the market wakes up.
