We have to trust that Colin and the BoD are up to speed on the best course of action from the lawyers, the compression equipment supplier and their contacts in ARSO. Years of experience here has led me to doubt their ability somewhat but we have had a recent change of the BoD.

The first trade was 0.17p and was given as a 'buy'. Can't see one at 0.15p. Virtually all the rest are buys as the SP was moving so quickly the 'buy' or 'sell' annotation couldn't keep up.

The difference for AST with other shares that have de-listed is the lack of debt. As long as Colin keeps his salary and the company expenditure within the income they are getting then AST will survive. Currently just surviving is a plus.

Can't fully understand just how bad this news could be. We've always known the stimulation permits are a problem. ARSO have not been issuing them for months and months already. That is the equivalent of not getting them. This news is in a Slovene newspaper, so whether it's true or not is an issue and whether they have the correct angle on it is also an issue. We know the Slovene press has generally taken the environmental angle on the story so their angle on it may well be slanted in that direction. The market will certainly look badly on this and the SP will drop this morning.

AST can still use compression equipment, as I understand it. They have John Buggenhagen now as the COO and his knowledge of oil and gas issues is far superior to Colin's. If the press report is true the compression equipment needs to be installed as rapidly as possible to increase the gas flow to INA in Croatia, as Slovenia are not interested in their own gas supply. Colin needs to reduce his own salary to ensure AST remains solvent and with sufficient income from PG10 and what they can get from PG11a.

Interesting that the SP is back where it was before the delay news though.

Continual bombardment here and on twitter can influence others. They're not just annoying. The main serious culprits here are environmentalists who have a little knowledge of the effects of extracting and using natural gas which are biased toward the negative aspects. The fact that we all need energy and renewables are only part of the solution escapes them.
