Any company looking to buy out AST will be emphasising the cost to them. That would mainly be the cost of reopening the closed wells. I'm sure Colin would be pointing out those wells are already in place and just need reopening. However there is a cost to any company buying out AST and they have the stronger bargaining position, unless Colin is happy for the status quo to continue with the current share price and a disillusioned investor community. That would then result in a lower takeover price than we may like. I would therefore agree with a figure of 2.5 to 3, or even less if the company taking over plays it tough. I would expect them to do so, unlike our government with the EU.
