The point of trading is when shares go up as well as down. AST has only been down recently. There's no ability to 'trade' this one.

New_2 this is depressing enough without your incessant depressing posts. We know the problems, thanks.

We now know the complete application was only received on 6th July. This share is going to continue in the doldrums until positive news in released on the IPPC and the Strategic Review. Both are now likely to take some weeks with the usual bureaucratic process. Earlier news could only come if encouraging news of the process can be released earlier.

Thanks FX. I like to think Colin is doing the best for the company but these occasional revelations of delays that aren't communicated properly to shareholders and other such deviations from reality are a concern. We start bickering amongst ourselves and some latch on to trivialities, like today's insignificant trades, and blow them up out of all proportion. Some of the points made here have some significance but many do not. Colin is hiding behind the Slovenian delays, the necessary confidentiality with his talks with the government and the unfortunate length of time the bureaucratic applications take. And the weeks and months continue to pass ...

I realise things are getting very boring with this share but can't really understand the excitement and indignation over the buying or selling today. It amounted to very little in monetary terms. Even the 1.2 million trade was for less than £9,900. Peanuts really and it was the largest today. The rest were mostly for less than £1,000 and some considerably less. With buys around 0.82 and sells around 0.8 any unbalance would be minimal in monetary terms and unlikely to have any great effect on the SP. We need to see buying up around £20k and more to get this moving up.

Received 6th July? I thought it had been handed in a few weeks ago? As well as answers to queries after initially handing it in. If only received by 6th July we may expect some weeks before a resolution.

There's always hope. After many months of stagnation we need more than hope now.

Colin is the only active Director and the only full Director. He's doing everything. Remove him and AST cease to exist. Or is that what some here really want?

We should be pleased if this rose back to 1.5p. Extraordinary to think when it had been over three times the current value when AST had only distant future prospects.

TPT give it a rest. He's Slovenian and disgruntled about AST, a British company, dealing with it. Of course he refers to it in that way.

Not nit picking james. A very important detail. I had mentioned earlier the only point in the interview not already in the RNS was that he said he was going (italics) to a meeting with government ministers. If some on here would stop bickering and read the few useful posts that are on here they may learn something to their advantage.

Very emotive. Difficult to take the cold objective view (especially today, phew!). If you can then Colin is 'doing his best' as it were. We can only hope it is good enough to get this company moving soon. Personally I am flabbergasted at the Slovenian government's lack of urgency on this, unless they are getting the larger brown envelopes from the Russians. That way leads to a poorer country for Slovenians but what would rich, corrupt politicians care about that? People say DYOR but that can not uncover this sort of delaying of the permits needed by AST. For that you would need some very good knowledge of the likely actions of certain politicians unknown to most of us.

Supposedly an EU democracy for sure. The reality? Not quite a gangstercracy but certainly a government that bends toward the old Soviet masters. Colin can be forgiven for being a bit naive on that part. I think we are all feeling peeved after seeing the SP fall to less than a third of what it had been in worse times.

So you counter with name calling of Colin? You're both wrong by the way. This is the fault of the Slovenian government. They make the decisions that will allow or not allow this company and their gas field to progress. Colin is just a pawn here.

I am here to discuss the AST share. I don't expect to influence the SP. Some do have coordinated attacks and that happened at the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018 with AST. You seem to think your Columbian football tactics can influence the SP. Oh well. Crack on. Some of us have got a life.

reso, you are irrelevant here as you only post attacks on individuals. So follow your own advice and leave. Better still go and lobby your government to get them to get shift on.
