That could be good news. Keeping the pressure on the Slovenian government. Might be nice to see INA getting involved as well but that may be too much to expect with them being from a neighbouring country and not needing any aggravation. They just need to come in quietly to a partnership and provide the funding for opening more wells.

Yeah, I'm still here. I was naive last year to think the impending gas contract with INA and the removal of the appellant would be good news. More fool me! Should have sold up last September. Bradis is still around as well.

Ah the swerv is back. Unfortunately, as I have said before, the Russians have a little too much influence in their old lands still. Of course the Russians could always put it in terms of just keep buying their gas, the gas in the ground isn't going anywhere anyway and will be there for Slovenia's future security. That would always make the Slovenian government feel better about not progressing the IPPC. In that case AST will just have to keep selling to INA.

The kind of publicity as an interview in a local newspaper that Colin has done recently may work. The Slovenian government needs to be embarrassed into action. Nothing too strong. Just make them look silly and in the regional press. If they see their own press looking for action to get their own gas out of the ground it may well make them sit up and act to make it happen. Colin has played this quite well over the last two years considering the headwind he's up against.

Considering the unnecessary delay for the reissuing of the IPPC (it had already been issued up till April 2016) playing hardball is entirely appropriate at this stage. The annoyance shown by many investors on here is not unreasonable. It gets to a point when playing nice doesn't work any more. A little like brexit (just to wind up RTN, well he winds up the rest of us).

Interesting car analogy. Don't think prospective buyers of a Ford Escort would need to sign agreements in advance. This shows a little more interest when a company signs such an agreement. Taking the car analogy a little further. I was in Malaysia for a year some years ago. My time for returning to the UK was well known to the locals and they just waited until it approached and offered a silly price. Fortunately the boss had just changed and his wife liked the car and offered a sensible price. It's quite likely prospective partners or buyers are waiting until they feel AST have to accept a low offer. Unfortunately for them AST can wait as they are selling to INA and have income. Unfortunately for us the share price will suffer though, and that has happened.

AST are generating cash. They are selling to INA and are therefore generating cash. How much cash is another question and none of know what it is sufficient for. For an AIM company to be generating cash at all is remarkable. The strategic review is to get other companies involved in a way that can progress this gas field more quickly. Even if they were generating lots of money they would be sensible to involve other oil and gas companies. It's not just about the money.

Check the google finance graph. Not 2005 but 3rd August 2007 someone paid �5-85p. They must be pretty annoyed. Far fewer shares in circulation of course.

I see Brexit is getting dragged in on the 88E board. I see a similarity here when Barnier, et al., are vetoing anything sensible the UK government puts forward the Slovenian government are vetoing or delaying anything here for Ascent Resources. Wouldn't we all be happy if the IPPC materialised (after months of delay now) and the Slovenian government expedited access to their own gas field? Wouldn't that be nice? We'd all love Colin and Clive then wouldn't we? I think we need to recognise the major player(s) at fault here.

Imaged? Or even imagined? Unlikely. It has fallen so much. We had a placing at 2.25p just a short while ago. Surprised that some think it might and are selling now. Not to say it won't happen as AIM always exaggerates things and all it takes is the lemmings to sell, although it looks like that has already happened to get us below 1.30p.

They didn't have the technology years ago. It's always improving and making previously uneconomic finds economic. Basic stuff DBC.

Some strange sells at the current very low price. I suppose there are concerns over the major Cobre client starting up again soon and the Leigh Creek concerns to get that making money. Essentially little has changed with just some normal hiccups happening which are always to be expected and the company still making good money. AIM always seems to exaggerate problem though and the SP has fallen considerably, and yet there are still some sells coming through.
