There will be some animosity within certain sections of the government. We see a 'remain' bias within our own Civil Service. There is always bias in sections of any government.

I think Emerald is taking a British way of looking at the government. Slovenians, especially the older ones, are used to a government which is beyond the ability of ordinary citizens to criticise. They will also be used to corruption within their system of government. They may well be annoyed but I can't see many raising their voices.

Consolidation doesn't change the value of your investment. However a placing would devalue it with a dilution caused by introducing new shares. Even a placing would not make this 'dead as a dodo' as you put it. It would be bad for sentiment in the short term and would mean a longer wait for your investment to improve if the extra funds were spent wisely. A bit extreme then smiffy.

Darkest before the dawn comes to mind FX. We are in the darkest position now before the Dawn of what is happening here. When this is sorted the SP will rise sharply and the everyone will climb on board, including all the de-rampers

Believe me tony I would love to believe the more optimistic reasoning but I think it better to be a realist. That way we don't need hind sight in the future. Unfortunately I, like most, are stuck here waiting for a better SP based on the known resource and what should really happen despite the evidence to the contrary with nothing currently happening.

Nothing 'obvious' about any of this tony. INA would not need the IPPC but even they would need clarity with what the Slovenian government is doing before they enter any agreement. Any number of reasons why the BoD would do an SR. One would be to see how they stood with other companies interest in the gas field. The IPPC is not just something to get this moving. The granting or not granting of it tells other companies the political situation with the government and how the future is likely to be.

One significant buy so far at £8k and one probable lesser sell, although it is stated as a buy. This company has gone into hibernation until the Slovenian bureaucracy can get it's paperwork sorted and issue the IPPC. The Strategic Review is unlikely to come good until the Slovenian government issues the IPPC as I can't see any company entering into any agreement until they see something they can agree to. It's now become extreme frustration for investors as the months continue to pass. Any sells now will be out of pure frustration, disbelief that the company will achieve or the need for funds when investors expected a return well in advance of the current date.

I invested in AST just after the CAD debacle in 2016. I still have a substantial investment in AST as I believed the good news in November 2017 of the appellant being refused further leave to appeal and the INA contract being confirmed at about the same time would lead to an improvement in the SP. What has happened since then with the anti Colin Twitter brigade, the poor PR from Colin and the considerable delays and obfuscation of the Slovenian bureaucracy has resulted in the SP dropping from well over 2p to 0.8p currently and people are still selling even at this price because they don't trust the situation. The frustration is extending and becoming quite depressing. I can only hope something good comes out of the strategic review and the Slovenian bureaucracy finds itself able to reinstate the IPPC.

Indeed james. The company has now done all of that. The only exception would be the appeal in April 2016 resulting in the Court throwing out the IPPC. That appellant has now been found to be vexatious and has been refused any further appeal. Their success is however still evident in that AST are still waiting to get the IPPC back which they had before the appeal.

Good buys? Where? One at £4k, one at £1.5k and the rest well below £1k. The rest are just 7 trades, one of which was just for 1 share. We need substantially more than that for any effect.

The SP has popped up to 1.45 in the last few days. I would have hoped this RNS would have at least done that. Instead it stagnates still. Clearly sure and steady doesn't interest AIM.

Thanks FX. I lived and worked in Aberdeen for many years in the 80's. Never came across this anti English sentiment. Seems to be more prevalent around Glasgow. Don't understand it really. For me if Scotland were doing well I would support them automatically. I remember them only just losing to Brazil in a previous World Cup.

Valid points WHYAST. I would say Colin was showing misplaced optimism and, as the CEO, giving an apparent impression of some control over those factors when he had little or no control. Some would say (have said) he did so to boost the SP temporarily to enable Henderson to get out at a profit and to help shareholder sentiment. The problem is that would only work for a short term if the predictions came true. Gambling with shareholder value? Some would say so.

Some would say AIM is a gamble. It shouldn't need to be. Research and genuine information from a CEO should inform the investor to buy in where they see genuine value to come.
