Can't see how Colin could have done much more than he had. Other than the disgruntled Twitterarti AST were up against getting the IPPC reinstated and being able to get gas out of the ground and sold in quantity. Maybe Colin could have got the assistance of oil and gas companies to help him out, as he is an accountant and not an oil and gas expert. He does have Cameron Davies but we hear absolutely nothing about what he does for AST. He also has the JV partners, but they have their own companies to look after.

I believe the Strategic Review is partly to get such expertise in and we can only hope that succeeds. After all there is a large gas field there with a large value. But then I would have thought the Slovenian government would have pulled out everything to expedite the IPPC to access their own gas, but they seem more keen on getting the paperwork right. Other companies may also be less interested in getting involved despite the guaranteed returns with all that gas there, probably because they look at the Slovenian bureaucracy and are not that keen when they do.

With the INA contract news and removal of the appellant news in November it really should have been the bottom scott. Unfortunately the Twitter action group crowd thought they knew better and the SP was hammered at the beginning of 2018. It all then became Colin's fault to them, despite they being the reason for the subsequent fall to current levels. When you remove confidence on AIM that is what happens.

Tony, I most certainly answered your question, as it appeared to be a question by the words but not the grammar. I might repeat my answer which stated there is considerable evidence, too much to show here. There is however the very specific answer, where AST has had the same problem of getting things happening in August in 2016 and August 2017, on previous occasions. Sufficient commas for you? There are one or two on here, especially reso, who delight in their apparent knowledge of where this SP was going. So we had an SP last September around 2.5p. Then we had the news of the appellant being pulled from further appeals. We also had the confirmation of the INA contract at about the same time in November. Logically the SP should have risen from then up to and above the 3p figure that Colin was so confident it would go above. Didn't happen. In fact it started to fall and continued to fall until we achieved the current nadir of a figure below the time it was at when Henderson were all that was preventing bankruptcy with AST having no income, had lost the IPPC (April 2016) and had a bleak future. Now that we have (modest) income and no reason for the IPPC not to be resinstated.

Apparently these people knew all of that was going to happen. Makes you wonder what insider knowledge of the Slovenian government they may have or whether they were just guessing and now acting as if they were the all seeing eye. Apparently the rest of us are just idiots who should have listened to their 'wisdom' of predicting a collapse following such good news. When things go the opposite way of all logic of this apparent success since September you do have to wonder ...

You can ask but generally a question needs a question mark but never mind. You are however confusing voting and the activity of government departments. The evidence is great and too much for here. I can look specifically at what happened in 2016 and 2017 when AST we waiting for government decisions yet again. Nothing happened then for the specific departments we are yet again having to deal with.

I seem to remember a saying: two wrongs don't make a right. I was stating fact. It's you that is taking it as criticism. The Slovenian government virtually takes August off, including all departments. That's actually not the case in the UK. Only parliament has a holiday. Government in the UK still continues. Not the same and a false aegument.

The last Wednesday before the August holidays. In Italy more people are taking holidays outside of August but the government still seems to holiday in August with many departments shutting down. Slovenia has had the same system. Therefore tomorrow is probably the last Wednesday, when the Environment Permits Committee meets, before a further delay of several weeks to the end of August or in to September. Do you think Colin will be pushing to get this done before? I would hope so. He doesn't have to 'push doors down'. He just needs to make some polite multiple requests to find out if it may happen considering the time taken so far and the importance of the gas to the Slovenian economy. One might think they may just recognise the importance.

You should be aware by now that Wednesday is Permit Committee Day in the Slovenian Environment Department. So nothing until at least Wednesday. And then there may be a further delay if the companies involved in the Strategic Review have to be informed first, followed by an RNS on both the Permit(s) and the SR. There's the optimist!

I see a sell of just £2-17p has dragged the SP down to 0.75p. A fee to pay but lacking 2 quid of cash? The mind boggles.

Not sure whether Mr Martini's post should make me feel better or not. This is a gamble? Not sure when all the modern day research points to oil in the ground should be a 50/50 gamble. If the oil is there then it's just a matter of finding the best way of getting at it. It's only going to be a loss if it becomes not commercial to get the oil out. Even then improving technology will make it taking just a bit longer to access the oil. So then it becomes a matter of ability of investors to have their money tied up for that time.

We had a deadline? I don't think so. Don't make one up now, then keep prodding with it until it becomes fact.

Not making excuses. Just don't see the point of slamming the CEO of a company I'm invested in. Whether you like it or not he is the expert on the ground. We are not. I see the same with other companies where the CEO is getting slated on current poor SP performance (e.g. 88E). Very arrogant to criticise when you know no better.
