He did mention 'operations' in Zimbabwe (in addition to getting the diamonds back) - whilst things might not move quite at the speed as we might want in Zim, the country is making positive moves to accommodate the needs of foreign companies. I expect some news on the JV soon.

Another upbeat interview from AP... sounds like the newsflow is going to be good. Confirmed that future funding is not an equity raise. Looks very much like VAST is turning round.

That's my understanding, Mrtwisted. There's some work for AP to do to get i's dotted, etc with resurrecting the Zim agreement to get mining re-started. I don't think that he's sitting on his hands.

Seems like no-one is in a rush to settle this yet... and there's not enough info released yet to take a view.

The delay is not surprising and I'm of the mind to say well done given all that has been achieved. Let's hope any delay isn't extended though!

Yes, Pashman - looks like lots of intra-day trading over the last few days. Personally, I think that is holding back the sp. We should see momentum take over soon though and the sp should continue its move north.
Lithium is hot right now and it looks like this wee Irish outfit will hold the keys to Bolivia's rich Lithium deposits... potential here is huge - as a comparison, PREM in Zim has bagged 35 times from its lows and has got further to go. CLON seems to have found itself with more potential than that just with Bolvia imho. Add the possibility of news from Ghana and this could be unbelievably life changing! No wonder, CLON's mgt got their options sorted out last month. Very exciting times!!

Acker - if GR plays this right, we can all look forward to a very positive future. Lots of focus on the pilot mine but I think most LTH's know that the really big prize is the EPO area... so I'm still looking at it multi-bagging over the next 4 or 5 years plus paying out a healthy dividend.

Acker - have to say that I've been wrestling with going all in with CLON... not a good long term investment strategy but it has already bagged once in 3 days... massive potential there (similar to PREM a year ago)... but, like you, PREM should feature in my portfolio for a good number of years yet.

Yes, Johnny - I'm disappointed too but not surprised. Even I am happy to give GR some slack because initially I didn't think it would be done within the timescale given what was being attempted.

More disappointed because I was hoping for a boost to the sp to add to the boosts at CLON and VAST so far this year.

SandyShore459 - would it be fair to say that the diamonds and Taj were unforeseen by shareholders but AP did foresee them? He clearly has made some mistakes in the past but credit where credit is due.

Not only that, he was pretty excited about letting the world know about BP Q1 in his recent interview. Things are shaping up nicely here!

Riskass - please read what I actually said.

If CINE was in such dire straits and shareholders were certain to lose out then wouldn't you expect shorts to be much, much higher and that all sorts of funds would be shorting!

One observation is that the published level of shorting is so low - only two published shorters have increased their positions. I accept that there could be lots of shorters under 0.5% BUT the current profile doesn't support that. If this was a cert to go under, wouldn't you sell your house to put on it?
For me, the shorting position supports the possibility that shareholders are more likely to get something out of this.

I'd take the view that the door is open to any and all of CINE, including the whole group.

If you were to apply the logic that it is only the company's assets (and not the whole group) the ROW wouldn't be included because it's not part of C11. Hence the view that the backstop would be that shareholders would be left with ROW (£200-300m).

The 3rd Jan RNS is not clear at all!

Why would a bid for the whole group be rejected if that ended up being the best bid???

I'm assuming that this would be an offer to settle the Cineplex case rather than an offer to buy Cineplex.

Tegop - I didn't say that AMC have deep pockets (others do) but when a competitor could overtake you, you might want to stop that happening!

Remember - any bid has to better than what is being considered in a restructure. The fact that there were up to 30 interested parties and 9/10 serious bidders suggests to me that there are going to be bids that exceed what lenders would get through a re-structure.

Of course. current shareholders could lose out but the fact that a docket mentions de-listing doesn't change anything. The possibility of shareholders losing out hasn't changed since CINE went in to C11!!!!

Vue are already known to be interested. I'd be surprised if AMC are not interested and then you add some of the other folks with really deep pockets and we could end up with a healthy situation for current holders.

I'm saying that a restructure that includes a de-listing is one of many options still on the table.

Just conjecture but if one of those options includes that a new entity emerges in the end, the lenders may want it listed in the US rather than in the UK. Does that mean that current shareholders don't get a piece of that new entity... not necessarily!

Remember, CINE is open to bids currently and that means that any outcome is on the table still.

Elvis is being a bit cheeky - you have to ask in what circumstances would there be a de-listing and what structure would replace the current one and whether existing shareholders would be part of that structure. Given all the options at this stage, I'd suggest that 1 or 2 might involve a de-listing but that does not necessarily mean that current shareholders lose out.
