No not really, they said they had enough capacity when they announced in September for both phases 1 and 2.
So that can happen without the 5 fold increase, which is for even MORE demand/orders!!

£500k was a massive buy for our CEO and no need to spend that much if it was some kind of steadying the ship exercise on behalf of nervous shareholders after the vaccine news.
Our CEO now owns 122,000. Begs the question what is HIS exit strategy on those. It would cause panic if he started selling any in the near term.
I'm thinking either a huge re-rating of the sp based on maybe a mega US deal being worked out, OR a buy out. Both could come to fruition either in the short term or much longer term.

So it looks like GM got a bonus in CASH. Rather than spend it on anything risky he bought around half a £million worth of NCYT
stock !

Yes, closing price seems to vary a bit depending on where/when you look.

Yes that is a relief, however I think the best thing is NCYT is circa 14% up on the day.
Other Covid stocks are in the doldrums. Why is NCYT doing so well comparatively. We all know here, and hopefully the market will catch up. It's the only UK Covid stock that is actually monetizing the opportunity. Come spring time we are going to have so much cash in the bank they won't know what to do with it.

Follow the money, that's what ultimately drives the sp. NCYT has a long way to go. Nothing has changed really since we were at £12. Got to be good value right now.

Last directors buys were around the £3 mark. We know what happened after that.!

Motley fool closed down their discussion board. It was really good.
II discussion board was very good then they changed the design entirely and now it is not a patch on what it was.
ADVFN discussion boards are like the wild west. Out of control. People abusing each other and ADVFN don't seem to mind.

I think it is just business as usual for Novacyt. More mass testing is being planned.

Oh, and of course we have world class antibody test. So if/when vaccines roll out people need to be tested to see if the vaccine had developed the antibody. We currently have the capacity for 3 million per month plus more if required.

Yes, very hard to buy or sell for the private investor at quoted prices when things become volatile.

I tried to buy some today using Barclays "quote and deal". Most time the trade wouldn't even progress.
Once I got a price to buy and I clicked on it to accept it was declined !!

I did manage to top up late with a limit order at £6. So was happy with that.

The odds are heavily stacked against the private who wants to buy/sell at the top/bottom of the market.

I am feeling that a bit of a surge may be coming soon. We've had the highs, we've had the consolidating retreats. The news is promising. Can only see this going in on direction from here.

It would be great to know what NCYT production capacity for PCR tests and Q16/32 test machines is currently running at.

AND, whats more, as the pandemic eases off over time and we begin a new normal as numbers drop I expect the mega testing labs to slowly close down. What we need then are smaller scale local testing facilities.

Hey Shaun, yes it could be that £406m is a confirmed figure for phase 1 an 2. We just don't know.

If, so it it great, and that it what has driven the sp to current levels, BUT if not and that's it , some will be disappointed
and it may put a dent in the revenue forecasts of the uber bulls.

Well this is what NCYT said:
"Under the terms of the contract, which is in two phases, Primerdesign will supply its products to the DHSC for up to six months. Phase one has an initial fixed term of 14 weeks with the potential to extend supply by a further 10 weeks. This first phase of the contract will involve the immediate deployment of 300 PCR instruments, related kits and support services with a minimum value of £150 million for the first 14 weeks. Based on this initial period, a further £100 million of revenue could be expected for the subsequent 10 weeks, however volumes can be varied up or down subject to certain notice criteria given by the DHSC.
The second phase of the contract, which is optional by the DHSC, allows for the provision of up to 700 additional PCR instruments, related kits and support services, as well as additional COVID-19 products from the Company's portfolio where required. Depending upon the uptake, phase two of the contract could generate considerably more sales than the first phase...."

Who knows how you get to a figure of £406m from that!? Both phases are for six months from end of Sept. So say that takes us up to march 2021 (for both phases).
Phase one is for £150m for 14 weeks(around xmas time) with a potential for another 10 weeks at 100m . So £250m in total taking us up to MID march.
So has phase one been increased from £250m to £406m. AND we might have a larger phase 2?
OR, does the £406m include a bit of phase 2??
Time will tell.
BUT, if phase one alone is £406m AND the bigger phase 2 is confirmed...Sky is the limit for the sp....Whoosh
