You would have to be crazy to do that if you thought the vaccine would wipe out your business model.
He knows what's likely in the pipeline. Not long to wait for an update !!

Promate is clearly key to seeing Near Person Testing in the wider community. (easy to use and not requiring a lab)

I could imagine every care home having a q16 machine and using Promate for complete in house testing.
Could test staff residents and visitors on a regular basis

What we need is revenue for 2020 to be 355m+ Euros , AND a bullish forecast for 2021 i.e double 2020 +
That takes us to Numis's Bull/Blue sky valuation 1500p -3400p range

It's only 5 weeks until we get the full year trading and operational update.

Can't see any update before then unless it's to confirm a big contract, or new product launch, or another acquisition!

Don't need to test EVERYONE with PCR, just the Critical Control Points (care homes, hospitals, and borders(airports, ferries and Eurotunnel - in this country))
Keep the low grade, not that accurate LFT's for mass testing that may pick up SOME cases that otherwise wouldn't have been tested for. (they aren't very reliable but as long as it is not in a CRITICAL setting it can help identify otherwise undetected cases)

Crying out for PCR NPT solutions. Versalab using Q16/32 machines and Promate(can be used outside a lab) kits.

They could be testing all those lorry drivers with, 10x Q32 machines . 320 tests every 90 minutes. Clear the backlog of drivers in less than a day AND 100% accurate, including the new virus strain.

Is that really that hard to organise????

I think generally I would be inclined to invest on fundamentals, but look at charts to consider entry and exit points.

Hey donnodertrader. I am no chartist, I buy on fundamentals, however I think they are another tool which can be helpful in certain situations.
As you say the chart is simply a history of past behaviour. How can they predict the future? Well I think that (in the absence of major good or bad news) the chart will follow a trend based on sentiment but also move in (sometimes) predictable ways. (nothing goes up or down in a straight line)
I have been looking at Elliot wave theory lately and think there may be something in it. Whether I could use it effectively to make profitable trading decisions is debatable.

All the charts were looking good for a breakout, but if someone decides to sell £880k worth that is going to ruin that.

Of course other countries have the new strain. UK simply spotted it first because we are good at that.
Knee jerk reaction by other countries barring UK will no doubt prove pointless in my opinion.

The reporting by the press and news outlets is as usual very alarming.

None are saying, well actually virus's mutate all the time and the successful strains tend to become more transmittable, BUT less deadly. VERY deadly virus's die out because they have killed the host. A successful virus doesn't kill the host but allows the host to wander around fairly healthily and infect as many others as possible.

Just to summarise and reiterate for any stragglers:
1 The new strain of Covid is running rampant
2 NCYT confirm that our test remains the gold standard and CAN identify the NEW strain
3 Test centres are struggling to keep up with surge in demand for testing
4 We have a new NHS director of testing who is pro PCR
5 NCYT have just said ".. We also remain in close contact with the Department of Health and Social Care and the NHS as we continue to focus our efforts on deploying our tests to hospitals and laboratories across the UK, as well as to our customers around the world."

Be great if one of his first tasks is to sign off phase 2 of the contract.

Surely we have got to see a tick up in sp today. Covid running rampant with the new strain, and our test is still the gold standard.

Those figures are Numis's "Base case scenario - SP 950p"
Phase 1 and phase 2 of the DHSC contract if taken up in full could create more revenue than that on it's own.
I think we will do much better than the base case, however I agree the question mark is what happens after 2022 and beyond.

I think the sp has had an expected retrace. It has stabilised and is now ready for a new leg up.
Could move on sentiment or news but I think the only way is up from here.

I think you'd have to assume Novacyt and all their subcontractor manufacturing partners are producing tests at record levels.

It's not just the cost of the test, it's the cost that a third party is charging to administer and process the test.

My local private test centre in West London is currently charging £165 for PCR. I presume they are buying the kits from Novacyt for less than £10

I'm not quite sure why some people seem desperate to confirm they are shareholders so they can receive
a generic E-mail from someone related to FRR. which surely must be only saying the lights are still on and restructuring is being planned. Didn't the first few people who did that confirm that is the message.

Tend to agree. I think the sp was a little overbought and due a correction, however it got exacerbated by the vaccine news.
Just correcting itself now. As a complete guess I would say it will head to £10-£11 before stabilizing. Then we wait for the news !! Can't be that far off. If they win another tender, got to be an RNS. Then lift off again.
