Hey Porky, lol, no that is a bit of a stretch for little old NCYT acquiring Thermo Fisher.
They have a market cap of 204billion USD.
BUT...small change for them to acquire us at, say, £2billion (ish)...£30 a share(ish)

So, no problem meeting Phase1/phase 2 AND international demand.

From November 2020, the Company has scaled-up manufacturing capacity for instrument production more than five-fold, with further expansion planned, depending on continued demand.

So in the space of 48 days NCYT go from being able to cope with phase 1 AND 2, AND international demand, to having to increase production of Q16/32 by 5 times !!!!!

None of the vaccines will be be a total cure-all.

The main point , I think, is they WILL, reduce the chance of catching Covid, reduce the chance of severe symptoms, reduce the chance of hospitalizations(so that hopefully hospitals aren't overwhelmed), and reduce the chance of death.

I think the vaccines will ultimately get managing Covid down to something like managing Flu.

Testing will remain KEY.!

Similarly, Simply Wall Street have NCYT P/E ratio at 15.3 on their website (compares to a UK average of 23x, and Biotech industry average of 46x)

They are using a Trailing P/E ratio rather than Forward P/E ratio. AND also base it on the last twelve months going back from last known figures(i.e 30th June 2020 to 30 june2019). 2019 was loss making

As soon as we get the full year for 2020 that will DRAMATICALLY affect those ratios. AND if NCYT give firm guidance on 2021 figures (ideally much higher than 2020) we can maybe expect the forward P/E ratio to be given more weight.

ODX, GDR, AVCT saw their SP rocket previously, but as yet have not made a penny in revenue from their Covid offerings never mind profit. I can see why the market may be losing faith in those but surely there is no comparison to NCYT.
