The frustration I think stems from current fundamentals (which are brilliant) don't come any where near close to being reflected in the SP.
Why not...because the market doesn't YET believe we will have that kind of revenue/profit in perpetuity.
That is the key to realising true value. When the market decides we are a here to stay and will continue to generate
something similar to 2020 revenues for the foreseable the SP will finally reflect that.

Is this NEWS I didn't know about? What is Variflex . It is a new NCYT test that detects the between Covid variants!?

Covid stocks are very volatile as is NCYT. That spooks the faint hearted/short termers/not fully committed, and attracts the traders and shorters in droves. (NCYT is a dream share for traders and shorters)

Sp went from £12 to £6 not so long ago. I can't see it going that low again. A bit lower and it will be technically oversold(RSI)

Revenue for 2021 will i think undoubtedly match or be greater than 2020. I suspect 2022 will turn out to be strong to.
By that time time the cash NCYT have will be enormous and their plan for Mid cap status will rollout.
Sell now if you don't believe.

When the dust settles and people have time to consider I can see we might have a steady rise next week now that all the short termers have been flushed out.

NCYT is very undervalued based on those figures we saw today. The good thing is we NOW do have ACTUAL figures.

Some people use an EV/EBITDA ratio as a quick rule of thumb to value a business.
Today we have a market cap of £630m
Cash in the bank is a whopping £92m So Enterprise value is 630 - 92 = £538m

EBITDA is £187
So Novacyt's EV/EBITDA ratio is 538/187 = 2.87
The average EV/EBITDA ratio for healthcare is 12
IF NCYT was valued at a ratio of 12 that would give a SP over £31
That is based on TODAYS figures NOT future forecasts !!!

Hey Roley, well actually the MM's don't actually need to "see" the stop losses, they simply predict that they are there.
So, if they CAN see a load of buy orders on the books at, say 10% below market value, they drop the price by 10% and low and behold a load of stop losses get taken out. Sold to all those buyers wanting a 10% discount.

Would be great if we see a VERY positive update AND then hopefully a nice steady climb in market cap going forward from then.
It is the volatility that makes everyone so nervous. We'd all be long term investors if we could be sure of long term stability.

MM's make their money by making a market. That is their job.

If they see a load of stop losses from private investors of course they will lower the price to take them out and sell shares to who ever had a limit buy price. Private investors should not moan if they insist on using stop losses. It is basically an invitation to sell their shares cheap !

Hey SL100, I think 2,3, 5p is cloud cuckoo land. Love it to be the case though.
I can't remember exactly what the closing price was when we delisted. But I suspect IF we get anything back it will be a fraction of that closing price.
I had quite a few GKP shares. Very similar in many ways to FRR. Heavily indebted oiler trying to operate in a difficult country politically. Shareholders lost 95% there(in the "restructure"), so virtually wiped out. Sorry to be so negative.

Depends on the numbers I think. If they are perceived as pretty average and the forward looking statement is a bit vague then we might see some profit taking.
If the numbers are stunning and the 2021 outlook is enthusiastic sp will fly and whilst some may still sell or sell a few, many others will be happy to hold for greater rewards in the coming months.. £100 Porky !? Lol

Great. AND, I seem to remember last time Zak made a bullish prediction we smashed way above his target.

We are possibly in a period of perfect bullish storm. Covid market is increasing NOT decreasing, NCYT have great company fundamentals, NCYT is perfectly positioned, loads of news imminent, the charts look great, and the momentum traders will be piling in.

Alan, I would say a sale is a sale when you have invoiced the customer(that's how my business works anyway). So anything invoiced up to 31 Dec 2020 I would hope to be included in the trading update.

Let's not forget NCYT ALSO have a LAMP test due out in Q1. These are quicker , cheaper, easier to use...AND run on the Q16/32 machines.
