The private testing companies will be able to reduce their prices SUBSTANTIALLY as they do not have to send the samples off to a lab for processing. Just need a few Q32 machines within the test centre(which can be located anywhere now that Promate allows for out of lab testing). That will mean same day PCR results for anyone, or maybe also a premium service under two hours for those that want to pay for it.
So essentially one could get a guaranteed Gold standard test the day before leaving on hols which could be MUCH cheaper than is currently. BIG market for that I think.

Surely the gov is going to want to buy VARIplex, and also the next gen Antibody test when it is released(which is surely now crucial since we have millions relying on the antibodies created by the vaccine rollout)

We have no idea what the current status of the relationship between NCYT and DHSC is. Are they on good terms despite
the current issue, or have things broken down which will affect future contracts.?

Hey Bluelight, I had a similar concern recently but in the opposite way. My was, why hire so many new sales staff if you have a government contract(you got the sales already in the contract) !!
Could it be the difference between centrally procured products(a government contract) and individual hospital budgets.
Are the sales staff there to sell more product to individuals hospitals which has nothing to do with a contract?

They haven't actually taken legal action. They have taken legal advice and are still in dispute.
I doubt we will see this in court. Settled by arbitration hopefully.
Lets's not forget the DHSC will no doubt still be very keen to be buying the variants test and other products going forward.

Macron can't stand the idea of buying British. When he admitted the French had failed badly regarding vaccination citing the USA as a good example he couldn't bear to acknowledge the UK who had been doing even better than that at the time.

If I had been fully vaccinated (had my first one) I would be interested to take an occasional LFT ANTIBODY test which could tell me what level of antibodies I had, which may let me know what level of protection I had, AND, would guide me as to when I might need a booster jab.

Kully, NCYT do not make rapid LFT tests so they won't be a part of that at all. EXCEPT those that test positive will be able to get a confirmatory PCR test. Rapid LFT tests is NOT our market.

I suspect very few people will take the free tests after the novelty wears off after a few weeks.
It would be very odd for a fit healthy person who has been vaccinated to be doing 2 tests a week indefinitely.

Maybe that's why we are only down 3 % today. AVACTA and ODX down around 6%

Possibly, but we got to be a takeover target when the acquirer can see:
1 NCYT embedded in DHSC with multi year deals/outlook
2 Full audited accounts due late April
3 This years trading figures
4 Cash in the bank.
5 GM's plan going forward to achieve mid cap status

A takeover may allow us to get fair value. Let's face it NCYT will surely reject anything less.

No. ODX has been rising in anticipation. NCYT has been falling because of lack of.

As I type, ODX (with their contract news) down 5%, NCYT up 5%..!!!

Yes, it's a rapidly changing environment, hence the need for flexible contracts.
The original phase 2 specs. are no doubt way out of date and whatever supercedes it will be totally different.

Hey tkr, well who knows really, but I'm not sure it would have been done and dusted by now.
WHY, well we still await OFFICIAL full years accounts, AND this years trading forecast, AND a (hopefully) multiyear deal with the DHSC.(coming soon?) That is when we can achieve a value that shareholders might be inclined to accept.
That may ALL come together in the next month or two.

If it is to be AZK, then you got to presume it will be a fairly mutually beneficial takeover.

I have a sneaky suspicion that all is VERY well at NCYT, AND we are going to get a humongous contract award in the not to distant.

As well as that a trading update may well say that the first few months of 2021 have shown record sales.

Share price fluctuations are great for traders and hedge fund algorithms. It's cyclical. Patience ...and HOLD. (or sell if you want to.!!)
